Chapter 4   Are You Single? ******* "May I ask how old you are?" Krissy asked Nick. "I'll be Twenty in five days." "Oh well happy early Birthday!" "Thank you." "Your Welcome." "What about you?..... How old are you?" "A girl never tells her age." That made both of them laugh. "I'm nineteen." "Really?" "Yep I jsut turned nineteen two days ago." "Well happy late birthday." "Thank you very much." "You are very welcome." he said with a small laugh. There was another second of silence. "Can I ask you a personal quesion?" Nick said. "Well it depends on the question." she said with a smile. "Okay well..... Are you single? He didn't really know why he asked that it just popped out of his mouth. She looked at him and smiled. "Yes I am." "Really.... then who did you say 'I love you' to on the phone... I wasn't listening in on your conversation. I just overherd that. I'm sorry if I offended you." "Don't worry about it. That was Michael. He's one of my best friends in the world who lives here in Florida. Well we tell eaxh other we love each other becasue we do. But not in the lovey dovey kind of way. Its more like we're brother and sister." "Oh well I was just wondering." "Well what about you? Are you single?" "YES!" he quickly said. ******* "Come on AJ!" Kevin hollared. "Oh alright." AJ complained. "I guess I'll see you." Liz said to him. "Yeah, well I'll give you a call tomorrow." "Okay I can't wait." She said with a smile. "Neither can I." They both looked at each other. "AJ NOW!" Kevin yelled. "Goodbye Liz." AJ said kissing her cheek. "Bye AJ." she said touching her cheek. She watched him walk out the door. She sighed and looked around but still didn't see Krissy.
