CAPTAIN'S CABIN
INTRODUCING THE CAPTAIN
I live in Michigan. We have been up here now for three years.(Update: Ten years now ... :) ) I share
a home with my daughter and granddaughter. We all love animals! I
have a Shi-Tzu named Toby, whom I've had one month
and he is a year old. I also have a Calico cat named
Sabrina. Someone left her behind when they moved and
my granddaughter brought her home for me!
I will let Jeannine & Tianna tell you about their
pets when you visit them from my links page.
Tianna, who is now 15 Y/O ... is in her first year (Freshman) in High School, and goes to CHIPPEWA HILLS
She brought home her first progress report last week,
and I am SOOOOOOO proud of her!!! :) See WHY:

Update: October 2003
Jeannine, my youngest daughter, who just turned 35 on the 1st of this month, now lives in Covington, Kentucky,
about 415 miles from us, or, about 6 1/2 hours driving by car. (According to Yahoo! LOL) We really miss her too! She has been down there almost a year now, and has only been back once, and that was for Christmas, last year. :( But, I think I am getting really close to taking a trip to Kentucky! He-he ... especially, since apparently, it isn't as far, or as long a trip as I had thought! :)
Where we live, "Ojibwa" ,
MAP
is comprised of mobile homes, modulars,
and campers. There are people (like us) that live
here year-'round and then, the "snowbirds" (seasonal
people). But everyone owns their home. We have two
lakes for; fishing, boating and swimming, and an
airstrip. I really love the peacefulness here. We
have wild deer come up and eat the acorns that fall
in our yard.

Update:Oct. 2003
We NOW live back at "Ojibwa" with the deer and birds and critters, etc., however, the only "inside critter" we have now, is a Painted Turtle" named "BUDDDY" ... :)

Nikka, now lives down here, not too far from us, and is engaged to get married. Her Mom, Christine, has gotten married, and still lives in Tustin, and is working on her at-home Melaleuca business.
I also have a son Jon. Jon as you will find below is the one who originally got me interested in this "Nautical Stuff". :) He is quite an artist and hopefully, one of these days he will pursue this wonderful gift!
UPDATE: Oct. 2003
Jon, Laura and little Emily Ann live in:
just a few blocks from Lake Michigan and the Ferrys that travel
across the Great Lake to Wisconsin!
My occupation is Home Health Aide. I have been in the home healthcare field for about 20+ years now. However, my first job was when I was fifteen.

UPDATE:
We have now been up here almost 6 years, and we have some different pets. Toby got stolen and Sabrina disappeared! So, now we have "Simba" an adoable cream-colored Pomeranian (with a huge mouth!), and also, a white short-haired cat named "Sweetie". Oh, yes! Can't forget the Guiennae Pigs ... Chocolate and Buster ... then there are the tropical fish, too numerous to name ...LOL
Our home is in WEIDMAN, but in the country about 3 1/2 miles
from town and about 20 miles from the closest city, which is near MT PLEASANT. It is known for:
Unfortunately, they eat some of our
flowers too! Occasionally, we get a flock of wild
turkeys. And we have a myriad of birds, including;
Goldfinches, various Woodpeckers,Cardinals, Bluejays,
Nuthatches, Robins(of course - our state bird), and
my most favorite, Hummingbirds.
We have moved since I began this web-page (4 years ago),
and now live in a lovely mobile home park called "Country
Place Park". It is touted as one of the best parks in
Mt. Pleasant! We live only about 1/4 of a mile from the
Isabella County
Fairgrounds I LOVE it, because we can sit in our backyard
and watch the Fourth of July Fireworks! Really Cool! :)
I have one other daughter Christine and grand-daughter, "Nikka". Christine and Nikka live in Tustin Michigan, which is about 70 miles from us and home of the:
Nikka has in the last 2 years been in a few beauty pageants and last year, won the "Miss Tustin" pageant! Both Nikka and Christine are interested in animals and have raised rabbits for several years. Nikka has shown them for several years and has countless ribbons and trophies.
Last year, Jon met a wonderfully Sweet Girl on the internet
(it REALLY does work out ... sometimes) at "Cross-Dailey",
a Christian chat-room. Her name is Laura ...they were married April 12th
and as of October 2, 2003 ... I have ANOTHER GRAND DAUGHTER! :)
Her name is: EMILY ANN
Click on her name and visit her page! :)
I enjoy watching movies, "All My Children", "One
Life to Live" and any type of Star Trek series-movies.
I sometimes do crocheting, knitting, and ceramics,
but now, I MOSTLY do the WEB!
Several years ago someone very special to me (my son - Jon),
painted a large picture of a lighthouse for me. I suppose that
is when the seed was planted, this seed of an inner yearning,
to acquire and to be near things of a nautical nature. Especially,
to be near or around water, though, I've never been sailing in my
life!
I love lighthouses and had at one time considered living in one.
They too by the way, are an "endangered species"! I am going to
try to get an "Adopt A Lighthouse Page" here in the future.
I like seashells, seagulls, and seascapes (by the
seashore, ha-ha. Try saying that five times fast!)
Update: Oct. 2003 .... Sandy is now taking actual "Master Gardener Classes"! :)
before you leave ... Thanks! :)
