We used to laugh and tell stories.
Now we chat and tell lies.
We used to work and gather.
Now we lay on the couch and watch football.
We used to tend our remuda.
Now we send the car to the shop.
We used to educate and learn.
Now we "do as I say and not as I do".
We used to read the land.
Now we read the paper.
We used to hunt and cultivate.
Now we run to the supermarket.
We used to adjust the teepee flap.

We used to court and swoon.
Now we have consensual sex.
We used to give thanks and pray.
Now we eat and run.
We used to sit and talk to the children.
