Outside by © arhllm It starts, radiating from my frigid finger tips, moving in heated, icy cold tendrils, down my hands, reaching for my wrists, pulling me outside of myself. I can see my head bowed in supplication to the pain. My body anchored to earth's pulse of electrical energy. An ever growing pile of my life's clutter slowly engulfs my feet, searching to mingle with the physical pain, just short. Body cut in half, the two energies form an impenetrable line. I want to touch, heal, my heart is locked away. Picture memories float around my earth bound head in vivid colors, I float above in shades of gray, the squares of light gathering into a formation circling my head, moving upward into the darkening sky. I try to snatch them back, shadowed smoke filled hands not able to hold onto the gossamer visions of my life. They slip through, leaving me outside. In peace, Andy |
