NATALIE AND HER FAMILY, PAGE 2 |
|
|

All of these pictures were taken at Children's Hospital in Minneapolis, where Natalie was transferred by ambulance just after she turned 24 hours old. |

Natalie and her daddy.
This photo was taken in the middle of the night June 19th, shortly after Natalie arrived in Minneapolis Children's Hospital. We were so thankful that she was breathing on her own and her condition had stablized. It was so hard to believe that she was sick, because even then, she looked so healthy.
And that arm to the right belongs to an angel on earth, Natalie's nurse Lisa. |

Our only picture of Natalie in her isolette in the PICU. That's her proud big brother holding her hand so she wouldn't be scared or alone. Our goal was to hold her every minute that we could and we managed to be pretty successful at it.

This was taken on what I think was our best day. A day full of loving, rocking, and appreciating our sweet little girl. (And also giving updates over the phone to our worried friends and relatives!)

Could any brother possibly love his baby sister more? He held her every chance he could get, (at least 2-3 times a day), and talked to her, stroked her head, giving her the pacifier when she cried, and holding her hand so she would know he was there.
What a beautiful memory this is for us today. I am so proud of them both.
This was taken the morning of Natalie's surgery, and death. It breaks my heart to say that this is the last picture we have of the two of them together. June 23rd, 2000. |

This was taken right before she was intubated, put on the ventilator and left for surgery. It is the only one we have of those beautiful blue eyes. And again, she was so absolutely perfect on the outside, we could not imagine how anything could be so terribly wrong on the inside. No pictures were taken after surgery, and for that we are glad. For the most part we are left with this image. A beautiful , comfortable, alert, and oh so precious baby daughter. |

To us you will exist in the flowers in the trees, and all things of nature God has given us.
You are now in a world of peace and happiness forever.
Pray for us as we pray for you, and somewhere, sometime we shall join.
