The seven straws used to plait this Rattle represent the seven virtues of faith, hope, charity, prudence, justice, fortitude & temperance. They cover and keep contained the seven deadly sins of pride, covetousness, lust, anger, gluttony, envy & sloth, which are represented by seven pebbles inside the Rattle. Although not a toy, this makes an excellent gift to hang above baby's cradle and can be presented on the child's 21st birthday.
