TIRED
Dear Lord I want to ask you a question 'bout my life...
The struggles and the trials and the pain and all the strife;
I just can't see and end you know, heaven seems so far away;
Dear Lord would you hurry up and bring the judgement day?

All I want is to go home and see my Saviour there;
I know it must seem selfish when lost souls are everywhere.
But Lord you know I'm homesick and I'm tired and worn out;
This world of sin is so mixed up, Lord, what's it all about?

Did you ever feel this way when you lived as a man?
Did you ever tell the Father you'd had all that you could stand?
Did you ever for a moment wish you weren't so all alone?
Did you ever want to give it up and just go on back home?

I know you know just how I feel and to admit it is no sin;
So is the battle ever over and do Christians really win?
Is the master of deception ever really bound in hell?
The lies he's told about me are too numerous to tell.

Will anyone ever like me or even think that I'm ok?
Enemies are everywhere there's a new one every day.
How can I go on like this and hold my head up high?
Lord you surely don't expect me to go on and try.

Dear Jesus, did you ever find it difficult to pray?
Or did you ever scowl at the dawn of a new day?
Or did you resent the fact that you hung upon a tree,
And died the death of a criminal to save someone like me?

Dear Lord help me remember when things get really tough,
And all I think or pray about is that I've had enough;
Please remind me that you were shamed but didn't hang your head;
And please remind me that it was also for your enemies you bled.

Dear Jesus please remind me in your gentle loving way
That you never once complained about the price you had to pay.
And please keep my heart in tune to all you want to do
In the lives of my enemies who need to know you too.

Burdens
Lord help me to bare my burdens
I Know I get down and out
With all the problems in my life
I complain that I need new shoes
And there's no money for them
Then I see someone in a wheel chair
At the market with no feet or
another with feet that have
Shoes that really don't get worn out
Because they can't walk
And I stop and take a moment
To Thank God
That my shoes are worn
They been places and done things
That give me Joy
The Joy of just being able to walk
And sure my shoes are worn out
but they took long walks on
Beautiful days
They've danced to music around the
Living room of my home
With my child and my mate
Whom I love dearly
They walked and watched a sunsets
From the mountains tops
Sunsets over the Ocean
Yes, I've enjoyed wearing out
These old shoes
But these old sneakers have memories
They are more than worn out
They've been there and served me well Thank You Lord
For letting me live Walk Dance
And wear out these old shoes
I am Blessed Truly Blessed
If for no other reason
I can walk
Shoes are not so important
God has never left me bare footed
He will provide another pair
In His do time
And in the mean while
I'm grateful
Thank You Lord, Thank You
I praise you Lord
You are an awesome God
And I'm grateful for all that
I do have
In Christ name I thank you
For He made it possible for me
To come before you
Guilt free
Talk to you one on one
And I have so much through
What you have done
I'm so overwhelmed with Joy now
And earlier I was so down
I'm so glad I had to go to the
Store and buy a loaf of bread
And had my eyes opened to
All I Have.

That the world is filled with pain
when we set aside the beauty
for our own material gain?

Is it any wonder
that lovers' hearts grow dim
when we do not hold in honor
the love we find within?

Is it any wonder
that the homeless are weak and frail
when we put them out
of house and home to seek another trail?

Is it any wonder
that nature falls to ruin and rubble
because we take with no return
allowing it to crumble?

Is it any wonder
that children are lead astray
because we did not take the time
to show the proper way?

Is it any wonder
that evil is strong and bold
when we do not see goodness
and let our hearts grow cold?

Is it any wonder
racism flourishes, my friend,
when we do not see PEOPLE,
but just the color of skin?

Is it any wonder
that friendships die and fade
when we forget the reasons
in which they were first made?

Is it any wonder
our world is scarred and polluted
when we allow our industries
to strip it as they're suited?

Is it any wonder
there is such depression and sorrow
when we do not seem to care
what will happen tomorrow?

Is it any wonder
we do not see the values of our brothers
when we hold our ownselves
above the needs of others?

Is it any wonder
our world is like it is
when we sit and grumble
with actions we don't give?

Is it any wonder
we wait in fear of Judgment Day
when we do the things we do,
then forget to pray?
