mytown

Ok I'm not totally sure where I got this one either. I took the pictures and articles out of the mag and forgot which one I had taken them out of.

Not too many bands can say that they had royalty dancing in the aisles. But Irish guy group mytown can! Their first London performance was for the Children in Crisis charity, headed by Duchess of York Sarah Ferguson. Imagine the nervous band's surprise to look into the audience and see her groovin' along to the band's high energy pop!

In fact, the Duchess was so impressed that she asked the relatively new group to perform at three international peace concerts in Bosnia for charity. Now, the group who became the darlings of England and their native Ireland are headed overseas with their self-titled debut album!

mytown is made up of Marc Sheehan, Paul Walker, Terry Daly, and Danny O'Donoghue-- four totally hot and totally talented artists! Not only do all of the guys sing and dance, but their all songwriters-- and they all play instruments. Marc and Terry play guitar. Danny plays "almost everything" and Paul plays piano.

The group formed in 1996 at Digges Lane performing arts school in Dublin. Marc was a popular professional choreographer, Paul was an Irish film and Tv actor and Terry was studying graphic design. The youngest member, Danny, joined, and the group realized they had awesome chemistry and harmonies together.

Their CD was produced and written by some of the best in the biz. At a recording studio in Los Angeles, the guys met Boyz II Men, who were impressed with them. They were so impressed that members Wanya Morris and Shawn Stockman ended up producing two of mytown's album's tracks!

Then, while recording in Virginia, the guys met Blackstreet member and legendary producer, Teddy Riley. Teddy was also so impressed with the guys after he heard a few of mytown's tracks that he produced three tracks, including "Body Bumpin'", the album's first single.

With talent and luck on their side, mytown is ready for the U.S. Once you catch a glimpse and take a listen to their jammin' album, you'll be ready for them!
