Tarin's Egyptan |
A week after Jaefa, (Tarin's new dragon), hatched, Tarin and him went for a walk, down one of Nebula's dirts roads. Tarin was now the flightleader of Jaefa's clutch, who came out a blue. He was not put in charge of anything yet and had not gone to battle with the Tarn'aa either. Instead, he enjoyed the company of his new companion and his job, and not to mention his horse, Sono, who had not been out in a while. "Oh, Jaefa. Ya know what? We should take Sono with us," Tarin saud, stopping and turning to look at his dragon. "What'd ya say?" Why not? I have yet to even greet him. Jaefa said with a cruel smile on his face. "Now you behave yourself!" Tarin said joking around. He knew that Jaefa would not harm a fly, even though he would kill a Tarn'aa. He had no worries about his dragon and horse. They walked back to the stables where Sono was kept. Tarin carefully brushed him to calm him down. He walked Sono before mounting him and soon Jaefa, Sono, and Tarin were oof, flying and galloping dow the dirt road. Within twenty-minutes of leaving, the three of them came to a beautiful spot. It had a glistening lake beside a small meadow with a few trees. There was a greyish colored cave a few yards away from the lake. "Hey, Jaefa, ya wanna?" Tarin said to his dragon with a mischevious smle on his face. Sure. Maybe we'll find somethin interesting. Jaefa said to his bondmate. Tarin tied Sono's reins to a nearby tree and told the horse he'd be back soon. Jaefa and Tarin both approached the black cave with caution, but soon the caution left them and they were like two kids in a candy store running around. There was, what looked like icicles hanging from the ceiling, only they were not cold like an icicle should be. There was ashes on the ground here and there, not to mention a small pile of sand. At the back of the cave some roots or vines grew along the back wall. What was on the vines was an amazing site. An oval-shaped, silky, cocoon was hanging from them. |

Jaefa and Tarin both looked at each other, wondering what it could possibly be. Soon the silence was broken by a large crack and a rumble of thunder. Lightening had struck the tree Sono was tied to!! Tarin ran as fast his legs would carry him. Quickly he untied Sono and mounted him, galloping to the cave. "Well, Jaefa, Sono. We're stuck!!" Tarin said to his two companions. Not just stuck, but stuck with that thing which we have no clue what it is. Jaefa said to Tarin. "Well, we're gonna have to sleep here tonight," Tarin told them both as he sat on some sand, Jaefa curling up with him and Sono standing nearby. Tarin woke to the sound of ripping. He looked around to find Sono bobbing his head and Jaefa still asleep. He looked over at the silk cocoon, forgetting it was there. A thin, hair thick line spread from one end to the other. Tarin nudged Jaefa. "Hey, wake up!" He whispered harshly. |
