They flew towards the Genetics Lab, in a loose V-formation. They stayed a good one hundred yards away from each other in case the Talisians had an ambush attack waiting. Tomma had made every preparation for the attack, down to every last detail. They couldn't afford to lose the battle tonight: it was too critical for taking down the planet. Tomma knew that the cycle of the moon would soon let them transform to Oozaru soon, in the next week. When the day came, they would take down the Talisian capital. The Genetics Lab and the Labs around it had to go first so they couldn't produce bio-warriors. Tomma was certain that there would be some of the genetic creations at the Lab to battle before actually fighting the Talisians themselves. The green-lit structure wasn't far away, and all six separated to the designated places of attack. Their Ki flared, and six comets barreled at full speed towards the peaceful-looking building, ready for attack. But the mood was grim, unlike all the other attacks. Tomma had been pre-occupied with Hakuto's new problem. He didn't want her attacking tonight, but he couldn't order her not to or else Trunks might suspect something. The Talisian sentries saw the Ki flares and signaled the Warriors inside. The battle was upon them, and with all the bio-warriors on Refuge it was inevitable that they'd lose the battle. The Talisians knew it, but they were going to die with a bang. They had decided if they had to die, they take some of the Saiyans with them. The sentries ran for the cover of the Labs. Goten and Gohan sailed over the top of the Lab when they were attacked from below. The two teleported away from the Ki blasts, and looked down. Two Talisians stood defiantly, their hands smoking from the heated Ki energy. Goten charged an attack and sent it hurling down, but it hit the building harmlessly, not even making a dent. Goten didn't have time to dodge the kick that came from behind. He fell forward onto the Talisian's knee, which jabbed up into his gut. He gasped from the sudden pain as the Talisian quickly removed her knee and used her fists to send Goten flying downwards. Gohan looked at his brother as the Talisian female appeared behind Goten. But before Gohan could help him, another Talisian appeared and his foot landed right in Gohan's stomach. The force made Gohan double over in pain, and the Talisian moved again to kick Gohan in the face. As Gohan was recovering from the blow, the Talisian elbowed him in the back and also sent him downwards. Ti'ana sided up beside By'rin. "I think the new technique is working..." "Keep moving fast," By'rin supplied. "They won't be able to track us. Then we can-" By'rin was cut off as a Ki blast hit him. He was sent sailing backwards, but he slowly stopped himself in midair, fists covering his face. Ti'ana looked up at him, then saw a blast headed for her. She was able to dodge easily. Suddenly, they were surrounded by Ki blasts, coming from almost every angle. By'rin teleported, but Ti'ana was caught in the numerous blasts. He heard her high-pitched scream as she was incinerated by the massive energy blasts. By'rin could see the other four Saiyans around him. They'd forgotten that there were more than the ones they were battling. A single tear ran down his face for the loss of Ti'ana. His cat-like eyes narrowed to tiny slits as he looked for a way out. He faked upwards, flipped, and powered down towards the ground at an amazing speed. By'rin began to rapidly teleport, effectively dodging the Ki blasts that were surrounding him. If he got close enough, he could blend into the darkness to use one of many hidden entrances to get back inside the lab. He powered down the moment his feet touched the soft ground. He ran a couple steps and heard others touch down behind him. By'rin took a quick glance over his shoulder, grinned, and turned back around. He skidded to a halt. His heart pounded in fear as his eyes walked up the foe in front of him. White knee-high boots that hugged the skin, with a black jumpsuit underneath. A powerful, thick brown furry tail swishing back and forth in annoyance. Delicate hands inside thick white gloves. Scuffed Saiyan armor which hugged her skin, the chest plates curving around her breasts. Two piercing black eyes under a mop of spiky black hair with a slight bluish tint. An old, weathered face staring down at him. By'rin began to tremble at the sight of Serori. The Saiyan Warrior powered up one finger, and slowly put it on the young Talisian's forehead, right between his two slit eyes. By'rin was in too much fear to react as Serori calmly fired a Ki blast through his skull. "Move out everyone. It'll make it harder for them to attack," was Tomma's only instruction. They already knew what to do. Trunks flew north. He crossed over the top of the Lab, and set himself down in front of a pair of massive doors. He raised an eyebrow at them, and grinned. He wasn't half-Saiyan for nothing. He easily powered up to Super Saiyan, and charged a powerful Ki attack. When it was big enough, he sent it flying at the doors. He covered his face as it exploded. Smoke and dust flew backwards towards Trunks, and his short hair whipped around his face. He lowered his fists as the dust settled again. Trunks looked at the doors, and his jaw dropped. There wasn't a scratch on them. 'Crap. This is going to be a lot harder than I thought.'
Gohan landed on the eastern side of the building. He looked up at the massive walls, and sighed. He knew this was going to be a hard job, but there had to be a way in. He could sense many Ki forces inside the building, so he knew there had to be some kind of entrance somewhere. He looked at all the odd structures sticking out of the building. One was an air intake vent. Gohan smiled, but then his expression faded. It seemed too easy, too good to be true. He didn't know if he trusted it. Gohan shrugged. Wherever it led, he could always teleport away. He floated up into the vent. He could hear an odd whooshing sound echoing up though the pipes. He shivered involuntarily, and slowly moved forward, keeping his senses alert and constantly scanning for Ki sources. He could sense some Talisians inside, but they were moving everywhere, and they obviously hadn't noticed him yet. A warm wind breezed upwards, slightly ruffling Gohan's spiked-upwards hair. He was careful not to touch the sides of the vent, incase he made a sound. He didn't want to alert the Talisians before it was necessary. It took him several minutes to navigate through the system of complex tubes. Finally, he found a way into a lab: a grill. He was cramped in the small space of which he had to fit, his hair brushing up against the top and his chest almost scraping the bottom. It didn't help that he was wearing armor, which was making it ever harder to fit. He looked into the room through the grill. It was surprisingly empty, the dim light from the moon siphoning in. Gohan punched the grill in, and it clanged loudly on the floor. Gohan carefully flew out, and set himself quietly on the tiled ground. It was a science lab. Beakers, vials, and various items lay strewn about, as if the room had been left in a hurry. A blue-tinted liquid was dripping from a broken beaker onto the floor. Gohan took another quick glance around, and walked towards the door. He crouched, and peeked out the best he could. Talisians were scurrying everywhere. They were holding various items, running back and forth from different labs. Many wore nothing but a skin-tight undersuit, stained gloves and boots. Gohan knew from his position, he couldn't take out the whole cluster of labs. He'd have to move nearer to the center. He didn't want to have to kill all of them...they had no fighting chance. He was pretty sure these weren't trained Warriors running about. He sighed. He had no choice.
Goten set himself down on the soft ground. He scanned the area and found it free of Ki signatures...at least the ones that were remotely near to him. He blinked once as moonlight began to shine down. He turned to see the edge of the first moon rising. The light illuminated the small lines and cracks on the metal wall in front of him. He crouched low, looking at them, trying to see if any were cracks to a secret door. He ran his fingers over the various ridges, grasping his fingers underneath and giving a small pull to see if they would open. After a couple silent minutes, one panel moved. Goten grasped it and gave it a yank. The thick metal plate came off with ease, and Goten saw his way in. It was a long, snaking vent. He clambered in, then he lifted himself with his Ki so he wouldn't attract attention. He hadn't gone long until the vent came to a dark hallway. Goten set his feet down and looked around. "Did you escape attack?" Goten whirled at the hoarse, whispering voice. He could now sense a very faint Ki source, just behind him and to his left. "Yes," he answered. "Lucky. Did you see what they did to By'rin and Ti'ana?" the voice paused. "Ti'ana didn't deserve it." Goten could feel the burning wound that the Talisian voice had. It was on the right shoulder, and whatever hit the Warrior, the force had ripped the arm clean off. The Talisian was dying of simple blood loss. "Where did they get you?" Goten asked. The voice chuckled quietly. "The Offspring got me. Blew my arm right off, then beat on me until I thought every bone was broken. I was able to roll down into the ditch and escape through the South entrance." The voice coughed hoarsely, and Goten heard the sound of blood hitting the ground. "I'm sorry." "Don't be. Now go finish what you came to do, you Saiyan ingrate."
