Her roundhouse hit nothing but air. She turned her head upwards and teleported just before the Ki blast would hit her. She re-appeared higher in the air, and sent a powerful blast of her own at him. His speed was unbelievable: he hardly put any effort into dodging, and her blast hit nothing but air. He teleported, and she kicked backwards, hitting him in the gut. He recovered within seconds and aimed rapid punches at her. She dodged and when she couldn't, she used her arms to block his attacks. But unlike before, she felt real pain as his fists connected with her arm. She winced, closing one eye and curling her lips into a snarl. She powered up, a shimmering green hue around her. She threw him backwards and sailed towards him, punching at his upper body. He dodged, not having to block. He moved too fast for her eyes or mind to track, and she felt an incredible slicing pain in her stomach. He removed his knee from her, and raised his arms and slammed her down into the Earth. She made a crater, dust and rocks flying everywhere. He landed softly on the ground, constantly aware of her low Ki. He walked over to the smallish pit where she lay, sprawled. A glimmer of worry flitted through his mind for a fraction of a second as he looked at her. His opponent's chest heaved for breath, and she had trouble moving. She gritted her teeth and she hauled her sore body to standing. She stumbled as she tried to walk, and he caught her. She gave a snort, then a snarl and cursed at him in Saiyan. "Get the hell away from me," she snapped in Saiyan. He shrugged, and ceased from helping her. He scowled as she stumbled inside. He felt another twinge of worry for the again Saiyan female, but it disappeared, and he left. Sekkai punched a chair to pieces. 'Shameful! I'm faster than that! Why couldn't I hit him? I have more experience than that Pampered Pet!' she thought angrily to herself as she destroyed another chair. 'You're old, Sekkai. You just can't cut it anymore,' was her next thought. She slumped the remaining chair, and rested her head in her hand. She was still breathing heavily. 'Vegeta wasn't even using half his power and he beat the crap out of me.' She sighed, angry. Mostly angry with herself and her aging body. 'What good is a Saiyan who can't fight?'
Ix'bet's deep violet eyes looked upwards at the Genetics Chamber. He was preparing all of the chambers so that they'd still function on the way to Refuge. If they didn't: their creations would drown in the rejuvenation fluids and years of work would die. He personally hated seeing the bodies suspended, breathing masks over their faces, eyes closed in naive solitude. They were alone to their thoughts, if they even had any. They'd used DNA samples from the Originals to make these children: to try to replace the one Offspring they lost. But these children were weak, very weak. Their resting power level was pathetically low, and the scientists couldn't figure out how to create a high-level child. Ix'bet thought he knew why. These children were nothing more than mixed genetic copies of the Originals when they'd first been discovered. There really was no other explanation. He shook his head, his cropped short hair swinging into his eyes. Ten of the twenty Chambers were breathing on their own, using their own power generator. They were to be sent off to the waiting scientists at Refuge. Nine were already in spacepods, waiting for his command to launch. Ix'bet shivered. Only the most important people of his race were being sent to Refuge. The citizens of the Talisian Empire, like himself and his dead family, were left to defend themselves from the Creations. The normal, untrained people were nothing more than bugs to the Creations, to the Saiyans. 'They aren't our creation, they never were...we just wanted to think they were...so we could bask in our own glory...' Ix'bet thought bitterly. He loaded up the last Chamber with a female Saiyan child inside. She looked so peaceful, so placid, floating in the green-tinged fluids, un-feeling, un-seeing...so naive. Ix'bet wished he could be in their place, so he wouldn't have to fight anymore. So he could finally rest... He went to the main control panel and set Refuge's coordinates. With a swift movement of his slender finger, the pods began to lift off and sail into space. It only took a course of two minutes for all ten pods to have disappeared into the clouds. He walked over to another station, and entered his access code. The computer processed for a moment, then the familiar screen appeared. Many different cameras viewed areas of the planet. There was hidden observatory stations hidden everywhere, in every village. They'd been watching the Saiyans for a while, learning their fighting style so that they'd be easier to defeat when it came down to the Final Battle. He saw movement, and accessed the system. He stared at the screen, almost engrossed in what he was doing, but he knew better than that. He wasn't stupid enough to not be listening for possible attack. The screen flickered, and a picture of two Saiyans appeared. No...one couldn't be a Saiyan. It didn't have a tail. 'It must be one of Earth's sentient species. Humans, is it?' Ix'bet thought as he tapped the old desk with his fingers. He knew where they were. His birth town. He watched as they powered up Ki in their hands, and he saw dust and debris fly. He looked away; it was too painful for him. The screen fuzzed out, and Ix'bet turned back, his violet eyes sharp with anger. 'They're going down...' He got up quickly and found what he was looking for: diluted Tryonide. It would make it easier to take blood samples. He grabbed a needle and some vials, for storing whatever he got. The other Genetics Chambers could wait for the time being. He had a mission right now.
