He beat the doors with his fists, his face hot. Someone's Ki was lowering at an alarming rate. Someone was dying, and he couldn't bring himself to search for who was soon to be missing from the group. But if any of them died...he'd feel no less pain. He wasn't crying yet, but he knew he would. Finally, he gave up. He couldn't get in that way...he'd have to find another way to get into the Labs. He charged his hands with hot Ki, and sent it flying at another wall. The whole side imploded. Trunks cursed to himself, why didn't he try it before? 'Because you're letting your worry get in way of your thoughts,' he said inside his head. He walked through the smoking remains of the building, and was showered with Ki blasts. He blocked by putting up a Barrier and covering his eyes with his arms. When the attack stopped, Trunks was engulfed in smoke. He raised his hand, and used his Father's signature attack: Big Bang. He held out a flat palm, and a massive Ki blast flew forward, and Trunks closed his eyes as he heard the screams of incinerating Talisians. He stepped forward, and into the now-cleared hallway. He knew where the fading Ki was. It was almost gone...but again he resisted from letting himself recognize it. He wouldn't be able to bear it if he saw Mia or Goten laying dead on the floor. He walked briskly down the halls, looking for a way into the Lab. Each Talisian he encountered was incinerated. None stood a chance against him in Super Saiyan Two form. Not to mention these Warriors seemed strangely weak from the one's they'd fought years ago. Their Ki blasts didn't touch him, nothing fazed his concentration. He came to a long, green-lit hallway. About half-way down, the wall had been kicked in. His natural sense of direction told him he was in the North Section of the Labs. This is where Mia was assigned to attack. And the fading Ki source, that was almost dead was just ahead of him. He ran, his feet hitting the metal floor loudly. He didn't care, all he thought of was his mate. 'It can't be her...there's no way...' He came to a high ceilinged Lab. He didn't take heed of any of the surrounding, he just searched for Mia. His eyes scanned the room, seeing broken consoles, spilt fluids... Blood...blood everywhere... There she was. Laying silently on her back, not moving. Trunks froze, his pulse raising into his throat. He wanted to run to her, but his feet weren't responding. He couldn't bring himself to move. But he saw a flash of silver, and his eyes narrowed. The Talisian moved into plain view, not concerned with Trunks' presence. The Saiyan's anger was rising, but the Talisian still took no heed. The creature looked roughed up, parts of his armor missing and blood trickling down from his forehead. "If you want to say goodbye, you'd better do it now. She's pretty well into Hell by now," the Talisian remarked casually. Trunks, continuously watching the Talisian, moved slowly over to Mia. He knelt down, and saw how mangled her body actually was. Not only was there a clean hole through her upper left chest, but this Talisian had opened the lower half of her too. Her guts and blood were everywhere. Trunks was more than shocked. His mouth hung open, and he slipped his hand around hers, although he knew she was beyond feeling. He lightly kissed her fingers, looking into her shot eyes. Blood was seeping out from the sides of her eyes, and her pupils were almost too small to see. He ran his hand through her thick, dense hair as a tear fell onto her body. He let go of her limp hand, and stood up. "Goodbye," he whispered, his vision blurry. He looked at the Talisian in rage. "Don't do anything stupid now," The Talisian retorted. "She brought that on herself." Trunks didn't care. He was glowing with a hot aura, his pulse rising, pounding in his ears. He'd never been this angry before, never felt so much pain. His stiff golden spikes waved rigidly in the wind his Ki was creating. The Talisian was unimpressed. He just kept to his business, hunched over a long, rod-shaped pod and a silver transport pod. Trunks raised a glowing arm, and fired a Ki blast at the Talisian's exposed back. The blast bounced back at Trunks and blew him backwards, his own Ki tearing at his body, cracking and singeing his armor. He hit the back wall hard, Ki energy still impacting on him, creating incredible pressure on his body. He screamed in pain, while the Talisian watched on, his face emotionless. The light and debris that came from Trunks' attack curved around the launching part of the lab gracefully. Ix'bet was smart enough to erect the Ki shield around this area so that he and his precious cargo could make it safely off the planet and to Refuge. Part of him wanted to stay. Every Talisian Warrior inside these labs was going to be killed. But Ix'bet knew that he had to nurture Hakuto's child, who was peacefully hooked up to a life system in a Genetics Chamber. He had to go to Refuge so that they could take revenge on the Saiyans. And now witnessing the pure power of the child's sire, he knew that inside the Chamber was a being of immense potential and power. He turned and looked at the fallen Saiyan. His armor- or, what was left of it- was smoking, and he lay on his front, probably spent from battle. Or at least from that Ki blast that was aimed for Ix'bet. He was glad that the Ki shield technology had been perfected. "I told you not to do anything stupid," Ix'bet muttered to himself, and set the coordinates for Refuge into the child's pod. He activated the launch sequence, and the child flew into space. Ix'bet slid into his own transport pod, and the door sealed him inside. He pressed in the all too familiar coordinates, and the ship sailed upwards. Ix'bet could feel gravity ripping at him, and then a dizzying lightness as he left the atmosphere. The pod hummed, and a blue gas began emitting from the inside. Ix'bet lay back and relaxed as the cryogenic suspension systems kicked in. He looked outside to the space-bound chamber, smiled slighty, and closed his eyes.
"Is he dead?" "No. But whatever hit him, it got him good," Gohan replied. Goten paced slighty. Mia was lying dead just a couple feet away. Serori and Tomma hadn't shown up yet. Both he and Gohan had destroyed their part of the Lab, and came this way to where the low Ki sources were. All they found was a trashed lab, a force-field like wall erected around an area of the lab, Mia's mutilated body and Trunks lying unconscious. Goten had run to Mia while Gohan checked out Trunks. "I think his arm is broken..." Gohan trailed as he stood up from Trunks' breathing body. "That means another trip to Earth..." Goten was silent. 'How could a Talisian beat both of them? And why did they just kill Mia? Why didn't the kill Trunks too?' The thoughts bewildered him. It was odd...what the hell had happened here? Gohan looked down on the young man's beaten frame. Almost nothing was left of his armor, which signaled an unusually strong Ki attack hit him. All Trunks had on was the bottom half of his jumpsuit. "Judging by the dent in the wall up here, that blast exploded on him, and not just around him. But I wonder...I'm assuming the Talisian was behind that field. Then, if that was in the way...how did he fire out? The only two people who were out here were Mia and Trunks..." Gohan mused to himself. Goten whirled and look at his older brother. "What are you saying? That Mia switched sides and tried to kill Trunks? Except Trunks killed her first? Are you accusing-" "Shut up for a minute, Goten. I'm just saying that one of these two fired the blast that hit Trunks. But, Mia could have been dead by then...and this Ki field could have reflected an attack Trunks was aiming." Gohan shrugged. "Don't jump to conclusions yet. Let's just wait until he wakes up." Goten sighed and looked down at Trunks. "I'll go find Tomma, and give him a report. He isn't going to be happy about this, you know." "Of course I know," Gohan sighed. "But I'm not the one telling him," he added smugly. Gohan lifted Trunks with his Ki, keeping his back flat incase he had a spinal injury. Goten took to the sky, searching for Tomma's Ki. Gohan looked over Trunks' battered body. There was scabbed cuts and dried blood all over the young man, burnt skin and the smell of charred flesh. Gohan wrinkled his nose at the smell, but looked back. Trunks only had the bottom half of his jumpsuit on, but he could see the blood through the rips and through the fabric itself. Gohan calmly ran his hand through Trunks' hair, and an odd expression came over him. 'Why is his head wet?' Gohan looked at his hand to see blood. His eyes widened, hoping that whatever Trunks hit didn't give him brain damage. "GOTEN!" Gohan shouted. "FIND TOMMA QUICK!" After hearing the intensity in Gohan's voice, Goten concentrated harder and locked onto Tomma's powerful Ki source. Goten turned in Tomma's direction, and sped towards him. Goten's Ki flared out behind him as he spotted Tomma and Serori on the ground below. He dropped out of flight and landed on the ground, and ran to Tomma. The Saiyan turned around just as Goten stopped. "What is it?" he asked, reading the urgency on Goten's face. "Trunks was hurt in the battle," Goten rasped out. "His spine might be broken, I don't know...go talk to Gohan. Something's majorly wrong with him and I don't know what." Serori nodded to Tomma as they blasted off. Tomma ground his teeth. He knew that Hakuto was dead, he felt it. And he knew that Trunks had to have tried to attack whoever killed Hakuto. 'Stupid child! If Hakuto couldn't beat him, why did you think you could? Both of your power levels are roughly equal. You should have known that whatever you dished out would have been at the same level that Hakuto battled at. Idiot!' Tomma thought angrily as he landed on the ground where Gohan had levitated Trunks' body. "What's wrong with him?" Tomma asked, looked down at Trunks' assortment of wounds. "He could have a spinal wound...he hit the wall before falling," Gohan motioned to the dent overhead. "And his head is soaked in blood. I don't where its coming from. We need to get him to a hospital, quick." Tomma could see dark red by the tips of Trunks' lavender hair. He grimaced as he used his own Ki to lift Trunks. He looked over his shoulder at Serori who was crouched by Hakuto's body. She was shaking her head and muttering to herself. He cast a questioning glance at her, and she slowly made her way over to where he stood. She shook her head, the small thin spikes on her hair waving back and forth. "They did it again Tomma...they did to her what they did to us..." Serori's eyebrows furrowed in rage. "Her whole uterus section is gone. They cut it out. Who knows what the hell they're trying to do. Whoever did this fled to another Lab somewhere." Serori lowered her head, her anger pulsing in her ears. "We'll get revenge." Tomma could see the anger in his mate rise. Tomma put his hand on her shoulder, only to have her violently smack it off. He sighed, knowing the thoughts running through his mate's head. They were the same that he was thinking now. The Talisian bastard who did this disrespected Hakuto's death, her soul. It was one thing to kill a Saiyan, but it was another to tamper with the dead body. Especially if one tampered with the organ that gave life. Tomma sighed. "Gohan, with me. We must bring Trunks to a hospital back on Earth..." he let his sentence trail off. Gohan nodded and put a hand on Tomma's arm. They flickered, and then the three Saiyan men disappeared. Serori cursed the moment they left, and walked back over to Hakuto's body. She ran her fingers through Hakuto's soft black hair, and sighed. "What's wrong? Other than she's dead?" Goten asked quietly. "They screwed with her." "What?" Serori sighed and gave Goten a sharp look. "Stop thinking with your dick and listen, you horny little bastard. Whoever in Hell beat Hakuto sliced her open, took a peek around, found your little bastard kid. So he ripped the little fucker right out of her body, stuck him in a damn Genetics Chamber, shoved some tubes down its throat and up its ass to keep it alive so they can use it later." She glared at Goten as he backed away from the enraged female. "And all because you couldn't keep your damned dick in your pants were it belongs, you son of a bitch. If she didn't have a fucked up brat in her, I wouldn't have to worry and they'd never of ripped her apart!" Goten backed away, but didn't have time to react to Serori's quick slap which sent him reeling. He stumbled, then was kicked hard in the stomach. He coughed up blood, not yet recovered from his battles from the Labs. It was followed by a sharp and painful box to his ears, which sent his head spinning. "Bastard," Serori spat, and delivered a blow to his balls, making the half-Saiyan topple over in pain.
