Brownie
The scarf is held together by a wargle and pinned above it is the Malaysian Girl Guides Trefoil. On the left side of the chest is the world badge and on the right, the patrol patch and name tag. On both shoulders are the Malaysian Girl Guides shoulder patch. The patch on the back shot of the scarf carries the state emblem. Malaysia has 13 states and two
Girl Guide
The emblem, trefoil, world badge and name tag are worn on the same locations as the brownie outfit. Add a nice dangling lanyard and hook the shiny whistle and cutlery to the belt and it is done! The circles on the blouse are actually tiny imprinted trefoils. In addition to the uniform, a Guide with post wears white ribbons on her left pocket. The number of ribbons correspond to the post held:
Ranger Guide
Notice that a Ranger no longer wears the patrol patch. Any ribbons worn as a Guide is stripped off. When you graduate from a Guide to a Ranger you essentially wear the same blouse and skirt; changes are in the colour of the scarf and trefoil. The above is a uniform worn by Muslims. Longer sleeves and full length skirt are accompanied by the headscarf. However it is up to the individual choice of a Muslim to wear like so.
My Uniform
It has been quite a while since I last wore my uniform. But I still have my pins and scarves, as keepsakes. Here are my Old Faithfuls:
Horizontally from top left: woggle,
world badge, Guides Trefoil (the letters at the bottom says Pandu Puteri),
Rangers Trefoil (Renjer Puteri) - my trefoil's a little worn out hence the pin, last image shows the tiny
logos on the blouse.
