ADDING TEXT TO ANIMATION
Written by Kl0se2Insanity using Animation Shop
Jannie, I have a ? about the tut!
Have ya ever gotten an animation tag in yer mailbox, & liked it sooooooo
well, u wanted yer name on it?
Today we will learn how to add text
to an animation tag!
Open up the ole PSP - go to file, Jasc Software Products, Animation shop!
Below is the animation we will use to add our text to:
You may right click and save or if u've got an animation u prefer, by all
means, use that one!

Step 1 - Go to file, open, & bring up yer animation tag u want to add text to
Step 2 - Choose the registration mark tool
& click in the first
image
- this will place the mark in every frame of the animation as u
see in the image below:
NOTE: Careful to choose the reg mark tool & not the move tool
they look similar, lol

Step 3 - Now choose the text tool
& click on the mark you
placed in the first frame of the animation tag..
This will bring up yer text box - here is where you will choose yer
font style, size, etc.
NOTE: Make certain u've chosen the color for yer text
before hand so u'll have that already done!
Color is chosen with the dropper, just like in paint shop pro!
I am choosing the Exotc font with a size of 48 & bold
center and antialias checked.....
When u've got yer settings, click ok and yer text will be on the first
frame, but u can still move it where you want it.
Once u've placed it where u'd like to see the text, just left click on the mouse.

In the image above, u can now see where i've placed my text.
NOTE & TIP: If you don't want yer text "jumping around" & have it stay
in one place while the remainder of the tag keeps it's animation,
once u've
left clicked on the mouse to permanately place yer text,
pay close attention to the numbers in the lower left corner of the animation shop screen.
The numbers you see when u've clicked and held the mouse for a second
to place the text,
is the exact location where u've placed the text.
In my case, i've placed my text at a position of 80/224

Step 4 - When u've placed yer text within the first frame, do the same for
the second.
This is the hardest part for those who don't want the
"jumping text"
- you may need to undo (CTRL Z) many times before
you get the text placed in the exact same position as the text in the
frist frame.
Pending on yer animation - some have many frames, lol!
We're lucky with this animation today, it has only 2 frames!
Below i've added text in the second frame:

Step 5 - If u wish to see yer animation with text BEFORE actually saving,
go to view, animation. Isn't this neat!!!
Step 6 - Go to file, save as.
Give yer tag a file name with of course
.gif as the format to be saved in.
All animations are in .gif format!
Click next
In the next window, make certain "better image quality" is all the
way up! click next
Let the bars load, click next
Here you will now see the original & optimized version of yer tag
Click next
Click finish
VIOLA!!!!! U've just added text to yer animated tag!
Congrats on making it thru the tut!
I hope this was written for easy understanding..
