~Remembering Sept 11th! A very sad and black day of our times. |
By now you all must have heard a lot of different theories and stories about Sept 11 some true and some not so true. Some people are saying that they saw faces of the Satan in the smoke, and others had bad dreams the night before, some saw it on a $20 bill (pictures listed below) and some believe Nostradamus had predicted the 9-11 incident long time ago, but as Muslims we dont believe in predictions of ordinary people, or fortunetellers. We only believe in whatever Allah has revealed in Quran or what our Holy Prophet s.a..w. has predicted. Quran is a miraculous Book and it informs us about the events of the Past, Present and future. Islam is a religon of Peace and Quran does not predict the events of 9-11. But it does tells us why people suffer from major and minor calamities, time after time. For instance, the verses of 'AL-FAJR' ('the Morning') describes the scenes of adab (punishment) sent to the people of the past for their sinful behavior and for openly disobeying the teachings of Allah and His Prophets (Read below)

Al-Fajr (The Morning) =================== 1. By the dawn 2. By the ten nights 3. And by the even and the odd (contrasted) 4. And by the night when it departs. 5. There is indeed in them, sufficient proofs for men of understanding 6. Did you not see how how your Lord dealt with 'Ad (people) 7. Of the city of Iram with lofty pillars [tall towers!] 8. The like of which was not produced in (all) the land, 9. And with Thalmud people who cut out rocks in the valley (to make dewellings) 10. And with Fir'oun who had pegs (used to torture men by binding them to pegs.) 11. Who did transgress beyond bounds in the lands (in disobedience of Allah) 12. And made there in much mischief. 13. So their Lord poured on them different kinds of severe torment. 14. Verily your Lord is ever Watchful (over them.), 15.....16., 17. Nay! But you treat not the orphan with kindness and generosity nor you give them their exact right of inheritence. 18. And yet you donot encourage one another to feed the poor (Almiskin) 19. You devour inheritence all with greed 20. And you love wealth with much love 21. Nay! When the earth is ground to powder 22. And your Lord will come with Angels in rows 23. And Hell will be brought near that day

*Just want to clearify that Verses of Quran mentoned above DO NOT predict the events of 9-11. Infact they tell us how people from the past (people of Aram and Samood who used to erect tall buildings) were destroyed when punishment of Allah arrived.
In short Al-Fajr tells us we should be kind to each other, we should not ignore the rights of poor, orphans, and those who are weak. And we should ask Allahs forgiveness at all times inorder to save ourselves from Adab-e- duniyah and Akhira ( from the torments of His punishmnets.) And that we should learn from the mistakes of the people who were distoryed by Allah.
