Explanation and Introduction
    Tex is dead.
He was shot at close range by an Australian assassin.
It's hard to accept that he's really gone. We try to rationalize his death and tell ourselves that maybe the bullet was really a tranquillizer dart, or maybe it was all just a bad dream (Hey, it could happen!) Or maybe Tex has just been relaxing on some island for the last two years.
No. He's dead. Up with the Big P.I. in the Sky.
How do I know this? I am a sci-fi fan. And with all dedicated sci-fi fans, we get used to disappointment when the series (games, books, movies, or television shows) can no longer continue for financial reasons or otherwise. When the creators of the series feel the impending doom approach, they often try drastic measures to keep it going and usually fail. Thus the fan is left without closure.
I don't blame the creators. I know Aaron Conners and Chris Jones love the Tex Murphy series more than any fan ever could. However, since they hold the secret to what happens next to Tex and we don't know if we'll ever get the chance to find out, I have one thing to say.
THAT'S NOT FAIR. (Sorry, I am, by nature, impatient.)
So what's a fan to do? Some people petition Access Software to bring back the series because they don't know that capitalism and democracy are not the same thing. Silly people. (Even though I did sign the petition. Hey, it had Adrian, Aaron, AND Chris's approval. How can I say no?) So I offer another solution.
This page is dedicated to the fans to help cope with Tex's loss. Together, we'll share our Tex Murphy experience, try to accept his death and move on. Welcome to the support group for Fans of Tex. We'll manage somehow.
And secretly hope the next chapter at least gets published.
