Andre Comeau

Then: Andre is a true musician, working desperately to turn his art into a full-fledged career. He is the prototypical Gen-X guy without a day job but with a dedication to his craft that is as strong as any career businessman. He likes to take it easy but isn't afraid to challenge others and engage in heated conversations about social issues. His band, Reigndance, makes a video and appears to be on the verge of something great during the season.

Now: ANDRE is based in Southern California and has been recording and touring with his current band MiLkWeeD, who are releasing a new album MiLkWeeD . . . for Breakfast. MiLkWeeD's appearance schedule is on the band's Web site, gotmilkweed.com.

Becky Blasband

Then: At 24, Becky is at a crossroads in her life. She is somewhere between the youthful exuberance that made her decide to try her hand as a folk singer and the maturity that has her searching for a grown-up relationship. She knows she wants to do lots of things in her life but is unsure about which direction to take.

Now: BECKY has returned to Los Angeles after living for several years in the Marin area. She continues to pursue music, acting and writing and recently released her second CD

Eric Nies

Then: Eric is a young model straight out of Jersey. A guy with a troubled past, Eric deals regularly with trying to do the right thing and trying to make it in New York, while still having a good time. His volatile relationships with his girlfriend, sister, father and roommates are key stories this season.

Now: ERIC is bi-coastal and spends time in New Jersey, San Jose and Miami, where he continues his career in entertainment, music and health fitness. Eric was the popular host of MTV's The Grind and five best-selling Grind workout tapes. He has appeared in the films Above the Rim and The Brady Bunch Movie and the daytime drama Days of Our Lives. He has also appeared as a fitness model in dozens of magazines, and he and his brother John developed and market a new abdominal workout device--The Abaratus, available on his Web site www.ericnies.com. Recently, he's been devoting time to his own recording career.

Heather Brazinski

Then: A hip-hop artist with the band Boogie Down Productions, Heather B is on the verge of "blowing up." Although she says that she wasn't doing much before getting on The Real World, her life suggests otherwise. During the season, she spends a lot of time in the studio recording her first album. She makes friends quickly and always speaks her mind regardless of the consequences. Heather B may truly be as real as it gets.

Now: HEATHER lives in New Jersey and continues to record music (including the hit rap song "All Glocks Down") She appeared in the film Dead Presidents and is getting a lot of industry attention for her starring role in castmate Norman's new film The Wedding Video.

Julie Oliver

Then: Eighteen years old and straight out of Birmingham, Alabama, Julie is leaving Alabama for the first time ever. It's also her first time in New York and her first real experience as an adult of the world. Julie's innocence, engaging personality and desire to learn about the world make her the darling of the loft. She and Eric become especially close and their friendship adds to much of the intrigue.

Now: JULIE lives near her family in Alabama and has a family of her own: her chef husband Joshua and their brand-new son Noah. She co-stars with Heather and other Real World alumni in Norman's film comedy The Wedding Video.

Kevin Powell

Then: Kevin is a poet, writer, educator and black man struggling to overcome many of the issues facing African American men in 1992. He has strong beliefs and is more than willing to argue the point with his loftmates. At the same time, he is sensitive to their trials and tribulations and tries to help them when he can. The oldest of the cast members, Kevin sometimes feels like he is at a different place than the rest of his roomies and has some difficulty connecting with them

Now: KEVIN resides in Brooklyn, New York, where he continues to be a successful writer and speaker. He has written for numerous publications including The New York Times, Rolling Stone and Essence and was senior writer for Vibe magazine. He has been all over the country on a tour for his latest book, Step Into A World - A Global Anthology of the New Black Literature, following the success of his first book, Keepin' It Real - Post MTV Reflections on Race, Sex and Politics, and a collection of poetry entitled Recognize. He was the host/producer of HBO's Vibe Five and the host/writer for the award-winning MTV special Straight from the Hook. He recently co-founded a national nonprofit organization called Get Up On It, aimed at the hip-hop and Gen X culture, to foster involvement and volunteerism in the urban community.

Norman Korpi

Then: Artist Norman is the lone gay cast member in the loft. His sexual orientation takes center stage a few times during the season when he develops a serious relationship and has to deal with the issues that arise. A free spirit, Norman does what he wants, when he wants to do it. He is a talker and a listener, ready for a conversation, a joke, a story, or an anecdote at the drop of a hat.

Now: NORMAN lives in Los Angeles, where he continues to work as an artist as well as art/set decorating for film, television, commercials and live events. Norman co-wrote, co-directed and co-stars in The Wedding Video, a hilarious commentary on gay marriage and the reality genre that features numerous former Real World cast members from different seasons and is playing in film festivals around the country.
