Episode 1:
Busses drive along a path carrying familiar faces to secluded villas on the beautiful beaches of Jamaica. The 36 men and women playfully taunt each other and discuss whose going to be voted off and whose going to win the big bucks. Hey hey, it’s the Real World/Road Rules Battle of the Sexes and the gang’s all here! Before anyone can even get their bags unpacked, the tension thickens. Melissa informs Julie, her former New Orleans castmate and friend, that she doesn’t like her, doesn’t want to speak with her, and wants Julie to keep “[her] name out of [her] mouth.” Melissa and Julie both explain what’s transpired since last we saw them and it is a microcosm of what the whole Battle of the Sexes game is all about…that money can often come between friends.
Meanwhile, everything seems to be going along swimmingly in the men’s villa. Yes and Laterrian are playfully wrestling, Mark and Eric are doing cannonballs into the pool and they all take the time to give Puck a rockin’ mullet. The next day, however, everything goes haywire as Dave from Real World Los Angeles verbally berates Puck over the morning corn flakes. Theo explains that Puck and David know each other outside of the shows and they usually fight, squash it and then fight some more. This time, though, Dave pushes a little too far and Puck spits at him. Dave immediately begins requesting that Puck be disqualified and sent home.
Dave talks with Jon Murray, the producer, and argues that Puck has to leave. Jon begrudgingly agrees and stops the entire cast from going on an excursion to ask Puck to pack his bags. Puck breaks down crying and the rest of the cast refuses to let him go. Everyone stands with Puck and says that he shouldn’t be going home. Dave can’t believe that everyone is sticking up for Puck. David from the New Orleans Real World season tries to ease the situation by going for a compromise. He gets Dave to agree to spit in Puck’s face to even the score and then everything can continue on as planned. Puck agrees as well but when it comes time for Dave to spit back he tells Puck he just “wanted to see him crawl like a dog. You’re going home.” Puck informs Jon that Dave refused and backed out of the agreement. Jon throws up his hands, exasperated by the entire situation, and decides that no one is going home. Episode 2:
As the ladies try to pull together some team unity before the first competition, Gladys reveals that she’s pregnant. She’s so happy that she wants to share it with everyone and she says that she’ll know when it’s time to go home and she’ll happily do so because she’s so ready to be a mommy. Everyone is happy for her and Rachel from Campus Crawl points out that there are 36 bad-ass women in Jamaica and that they wouldn’t even be having this competition if nobody thought they had a shot. They all believe they can win this thing and they end their meeting with their team chant, “Vagina, Vagina, Vagina!”
The next morning, a drill sergeant wakes up both houses in the wee hours of the morning. Puck, who is staying in the women’s villa so as not to bump heads with Dave, is late for roll call. The sergeant reveals that he’s the mayor of their first challenge and that everyone needs to pair up with a same sex partner. Each team splits up and gets ready for training. The guys are pumped and Laterrian acts as their motivator exclaiming that they are going to “ride and motherf---ing die together.” Dan isn’t really down with the testosterone macho party.
Christina from Road Rules 6 highlights the differences between the two teams explaining that the girls have blow dryers and make-up and yoga while the guys are all really physically fit and drink protein shakes and eat creatine for breakfast but she predicts a victory for the ladies. She’s right! In a heated Simon Says battle, the girls run away with the victory, with Melissa and Amaya winning the competition and a year’s worth of free blockbuster rentals for the ladies. The guys are shocked. They got whooped by a bunch of girls.
While the teams separate to discuss voting strategy, the problems for the male team come to a head again. Puck and Dave go at it and the team splinters. Dave decides that he has had enough and can’t be a part of a team that doesn’t have his back so he eliminates himself and the guys don’t have to do a vote-off. The ladies, meanwhile, have to decide who the weakest link is. Melissa, Amaya, Aneesa and Genesis form the first inner circle and Melissa starts off by saying she wants Julie gone. After a short debate, the rest of the girls can’t think of anyone better to go so they ship Julie home. That decision rocks the peaceful women’s team though, as Genesis regrets the vote and Ellen thinks that Melissa is being petty and ruining the team spirit. Back To Top
Episode 3:
While the guys are having a grand ol' time in the Men's Villa, the ladies are struggling with diarrhea and stomach problems, making things miserable. Foul play at hand? No, just a bad reaction to something in the food. The ladies are also trying to figure out a good method to with the voting process. One that they can all agree upon. The guys, after a brief discussion, have already decided that the person with the lowest score is gone. The women think there are a lot more things to consider and besides, where's the bathroom, again?
The competition this time is called the Dead Man's Drop. Everyone has to hang suspended in the air by their legs for as long as they can. Gladys is informed that she can't compete because of her pregnancy despite what her personal doctor says. Having not performed well during the first mission, this puts her immediately at risk for being voted off. During the first heat, the girls drop quickly while Puck lasts for nearly 7 minutes, joking that he's "Batman." During the second heat, Emily hangs tough, giving the women confidence that they can still win this mission. In the final heat, most of the ladies drop off quickly but Ellen and Ruthie outlast Colin and Ruthie stays on for 7 and 1/2 minutes, winning the prizes and continuing a winning streak for the girls.
Laterrian, the men's team cheerleader and mascot, is lowest in score. Regardless of his obvious physical prowess and importance to the team spirit, the guys all decide that they don't want it to be ugly and vote him off just like they agreed. The women still haven't come up with an effective vote strategy and so despite Gladys being last, it is Beth who is sent packing much to her surprise as she thought Ruthie was her friend Back To Top
Episode 4:
As Puck and the guys start preparations for his upcoming nuptials, the ladies are still dealing with illness and PMS. Ellen takes Puck to task for wanting to have his wedding in the middle of the "Battle" by questioning his motives. Puck reacts strongly suggesting that Ellen is a rude person and that because she's gone after him, he's going to go after her and all the women. All of that would mean so much more if the guys hadn't already lost two missions to the ladies.
This mission proves different, however, as the guys do extremely well with the Treehouse mission. The women, on the other hand, are quickly frustrated with the building exercise and eventually need the help of the guys to help them finish the mission. The guys finally win one and continue with their agreed upon voting method by sending Eric J., the lowest cumulative point scorer, home. The ladies still don't have a plan and Ruthie, Ellen and a reluctant Anne must decide again who goes home.
Ellen wants to send Rachel home because she feels like she's not a team player. Ruthie thinks her reasons are more personal though and suggests that they send Gladys home to protect her and the team in the event that upcoming missions are more physical. The disagreement causes a rift between Ellen and Ruthie and for the second time in as many days, Ellen has rubbed someone the wrong way. Back To Top
Episode 5:
Puck's bride-to-be, Betty, and his son, Bogart, make their way to Jamaica as they prepare for their upcoming wedding. Puck's antics have started to wear on the ladies and Tonya and Ellen both plan on not attending the wedding. Ellen, in particular, has issues with Puck and what she sees as infantile behavior. The two continue to make war with increasing ferocity every time they are in close proximity.
Meanwhile, David and Ayanna are making love--not war. Well, they aren't literally making love, but the connection is there. The two are spending lots of time together and coyly talking about the possibilities of a relationship. This is all cut short, however, when David doesn't perform well in the Breath-Hold mission. The guys dominate the game, however, with James outlasting everyone by holding his breath for nearly three minutes. Not surprisingly, Ruthie is again the MVP on the girls' side, staying under for almost two minutes. The teams vote off both players with the lowest scores, Jisela and David.
As David and Ayanna say their sad goodbyes, Ellen and Puck are fighting once again. Things take a turn for the even worse, however, when Ellen claims that Puck threatened to kick her ass. Perhaps Puck has gone too far this time...
To Be Continued. Back To Top
Episode 6:
Ellen keeps ranting and raving about the fact that Puck threatened her and it is creating a further gap amongst the genders. The guys claim Puck didn't threaten her the way she says it happened. The ladies think it's bad form that the gentlemen aren't doing the right thing.
Blair tries to smooth it over by talking to the feuding Ellen and Puck. Ellen doesn't want to deal with Puck anymore but Puck is receptive to the idea of not harassing her outside of competition. After that situation is smoothed over, it's time for Puck and Betty to get married!
The guys and most of the girls all attend the ceremony--which is actually very beautiful--on a secluded area of the island. The ladies come dressed to impress and the guys come dressed, well, under-dressed. Puck cries throughout the event but the two soul mates say "I do" and become Mr. and Mrs. Puck. The reception is a big party with Eric giving the toast and many of the guests providing the entertainment. Emily catches the bouquet, much to the delight of James, and everyone leaves happier than they were before they arrived. Back To Top
Episode 7:
While Amaya was taking a nap, all of the ladies chose partners for the next challenge. The only two left, Amaya and Veronica, are stuck because they have already been partners and can't be a team again. No one is willing to switch to be with Amaya until Tonya steps up and volunteers. Ellen, calling herself a champion of the underdogs, starts taking other women to task for not "taking one for the team." As the girls team bickers over the match ups, people become even more weary of Ellen and her drama queen personality.
On the other side, the guys are heading into the Rings of Saturn mission "ready to kick some ass." The Saturn VUE's orbit at the start of the mission and the tandems must traverse the rotating vehicles and collect rings. Things seem to be going well for all involved until Dan goes flying off the hood of one of the cars and gets disqualified. That fall starts a trend of teams losing rings and footing and their chances at scoring well and ending up atop the leader board. As Amaya collects her rings, she accidentally drops one so she and Tonya get disqualified. Tonya realizes that receiving no points will put her at the bottom of the ladder and Amaya feels horrible for letting her teammate down. Puck and Theo complete the mission the fastest and come away with a win and guitars for the males.
The inner circle, which once again includes Emily, Ellen and Ruthie, meet to discuss who's going home. Ellen continues to gripe over the lack of team unity. Even though Tonya is last on the ladder, the trio decide to send Amaya home because she is having family issues and because she has not performed well in recent missions. She leaves on a happy note, but tells the team to make sure to act like a team and to use their hearts and not their eyes or ears. On the male side, Yes gets sent home as he has the lowest score. He also leaves happily and reflects that while he was hesitant to compete this year because of his experience on the last battle, he has had a great time. Back To Top
Episode 8:
As the teams head into the next mission, Dan and Aneesa are both fearful that their place at the bottom of the scoring board will have them going home. Dan explains that he needs to do better than almost half his team to move out of last place. The challenge this time is called "Freeze your Butt Off" and the guys and ladies must sit on blocks of ice with their hands in the air waving them like they just don't care. Well, they probably should care because if they drop their arms below their shoulders or clap them together or pretty much do anything except stand straight up they will be disqualified.
The guys start to fall quickly as their capacity for pain and focus seems less than that of the women. Dan goes earlier than need be and he is sure he will be eliminated next. Aneesa also goes down early and expects that she will be gone as well. All of the men are gone from the competition while nearly the entire women's team is still on the ice. After sitting on the blocks for 3 hours, many of the ladies are starting to feel the ill effects of the ice challenge. Melissa, in particular, appears to be at risk for hypothermia and the doctor and her teammates are suggesting she quit. She finally does leaving Emily, Ellen, and Ayanna still on the ice. Emily gives up and Ayanna decides to let Ellen win since they plan to partner in the next competition and she wants her to be healthy.
When the women's inner circle meet, they immediately decide that Aneesa, who still has the lowest score, will not be leaving because she's so good for team morale. Ellen says she's giving the Ion lifesaver to Tonya. Emily says that she will not vote for Christina so they have to decide who else they should get rid of. After debate, they choose Rachel. The comments in the inner circle suggest that they believe she is negative for the team. But when they reveal their choice, both teams react negatively. Rachel verbally berates them and tells Ellen that she's lying when she says it wasn't personal.
After getting put down by just about everyone on the team, Ellen wonders if she was manipulated by Emily to get rid of someone who Emily felt was a threat rather than getting rid of Rachel for the right reasons. Again, the women's team is splintered while the guys continue on with their plan.Back To Top
Episode 9:
Everyone thought that Puck's bride Betty and his baby Bogart were going back to Cali but they were actually stuck in Jamaica because of some green card issues for the new Mrs. Puck. Puck, unable to leave the challenge to be with his wife, freaks out and demands the cameras stop filming him. He then brandishes a machete and does major damage to the Villa and lots of other things. Well, that's finally enough from The Puck and he's sent on his way. The guys are sad to see him go but both teams are overjoyed to learn that his departure means that Dan gets to return to fight again.
The challenge is a tandem game called People Mover in which the teams must figure out a puzzle. Everyone gets through it with varying degrees of success but the guys are shocked to find out that the fastest time went to the ladies--specifically Ayanna and Ellen. The women have now won four of the first seven challenges. Ellen gives Ayanna sole power over the ion lifesaver since Ellen has had the opportunity to save someone before. Ayanna wants to save Aneesa but Ruthie pulls her to the side to reveal a problem.
Aneesa suggested to Ruthie, after Rachel was voted off, that a good strategy might be to sabotage Emily to get her out of the inner circle and send her home. Ruthie was shocked to hear this and held it in for several days while trying to decide what to do. She feels that they've been playing a fair game and that that kind of backstabbing would only serve to destroy the team. Ayanna decides to give the ion to Tonya instead and Ruthie decides to tell Emily exactly what's been going on during the inner circle. When she reveals the plot, Emily isn't shocked and instead of suggesting that Aneesa be eliminated she argues that Veronica should be gone because she's a threat and is negative. Ruthie is amazed that Emily would be so brazen as to suggest that the fourth place competitor be removed from the game and begins to realize why so many people are interested in seeing her gone. Ruthie and Ellen decide, however, that Aneesa does need to go. They say goodbye to her and the guys say goodbye to Dan...again. Back To Top
Episode 10:
Things start to heat up as the men and women go head to head in the "Battle of the Opposite Sexes" game show competition, hosted by Johnny Mosely. In this game, incorrect answers mean the loss of an item of clothing. Emily, Christina, Anne, and Ayanna feel that the game is unfair and degrading. The men--except for James, who is trying to support Emily and her feelings--are enthusiastic and ready to play. However, when James realizes that he must play or else he’ll be sent home, a rift grows between the two lovebirds.
During the game, Ellen, as expected, is competitive and takes the majority of the tokens for her correct answers. The ladies, in fact, are dominating the game as Shane, Antoine, and James are all pretty much buck naked while the women are, for the most part, fully clothed. But when the men’s team decides to let Jake answer all the questions so that they can win the competition, the ladies start to miss questions and clothing. Jake is proclaimed the winner with eleven tokens, barely beating out Ellen with ten.
Emily’s refusal to participate has bumped her out of the inner circle and put Veronica there in her place. The change has Emily thinking that she may very well be the next one leaving. As Ellen, Ruthie, and Veronica deliberate and make their elimination decision, they discuss the protest by their teammates and Veronica isn’t impressed with her teammates “so-called principles,” particularly Emily’s, but she doesn’t suggest her for elimination. Ellen announces that Tonya wants to leave the next day even if she is not voted off because she feels that she is the weakest link on the team. The inner circle decides that if that is the case, there should be no further discussion.
Meanwhile, the men’s team elimination goes against their agreement and Jake is sent home despite winning the last competition and the Ion lifesaver. It was his choice, though, as he is homesick and ready to leave. Blair, who did have the lowest score, is given the Ion lifesaver and is there to fight another day Back To Top
Episode 11:
Because they chose to sit out the Battle of the Opposite Sexes mission, Emily, Ayanna, Christina and Anne need big points in the next mission in order to stay in the game. At the same time, they are also hoping to get in the Inner Circle in order to vote Veronica out because they all agree that she is a pool of negativity. The animosity towards Veronica is threatening to destroy what is already weak women’s team unity.
In the men's villa, Eric finds out that his sister has been in the hospital for a week with a high fever and worries about her health. The game must go on, however. In this mission they must traverse across a river using only ropes and stirrups and many people fear that this will be a tough task.
As Veronica makes her way across, she stumbles and ends up upside down hanging by the strength of one leg. She falls as a result and not only gets disqualified, but sprains her ankle. Although the DQ puts her out of the Inner Circle and at risk for being eliminated, her injury brings the women together. Theo gets disqualified as well and worries what his fate will be at the end of the day. The bad luck continues as Christina also gets disqualified and she realizes that she will probably end up in last place. Eric, focusing on his sister and her situation, glides easily across the course and wins the mission with a time of 1:41.
The women's inner circle of Ellen, Ruthie and Melissa meets and they decide to vote off the last place person, Christina, instead of Veronica. They hope that by continuing to eliminate the person with the lowest score rather than whom they have some animosity towards, they will raise the morale of the team. On the men's side, Eric dedicates the ion to his sister and Theo gets eliminated as he has the lowest score. He warns the team to be careful and to realize how quickly you can fall from fourth to last. Back To Top
Episode 12:
The ladies' team is hoping that they've gotten past all of the cat-fighting and can come out with a win in the upcoming challenge. The guys' team continues to roll along with the only drama being when Blair will finally be sent home. He's been in last place or near to it going into the last 7 challenges and each time he does just enough to get out of that position. What the women don't know, however, is that trouble is still brewing and its name is Emily as she is desperate to send Veronica home.
The Challenge is called Stairway to Heaven and it involves climbing ladders into the sky. The higher you get, the faster you get there, the higher your points. Once again, the men are dominating the more physical mission until Ruthie takes her turn. She races up the ladders with lightning speed to the cheering of all her teammates. Melissa reminds Jamie that Ruthie is on the women's team. But Jamie is on the men's team and he too flies up the ladder as if "there really was a fire" according to Mark and wins the challenge for the men. Blair also does just enough to stay out of last place meaning that Syrus is going home. It's four losses in a row for the ladies but Melissa's poor performance knocks her out of the inner circle and puts Emily back in.
Emily pushes hard for Ellen and Ruthie to vote Veronica off, suggesting that it will be best for team morale. She argues that Veronica is mean to lots of people there and "she means mean." Ruthie and Ellen finally agree that she has to go even though they don't feel good about the decision. They shouldn't have. Several of their teammates reveal that Emily wants Veronica gone more because of her past relationship with James than anything that's been going on in Jamaica. Emily herself suggests in interview that she feels threatened by all the beautiful women in Jamaica, particularly Veronica.
So when the team reveals their vote all hell breaks loose with Shane chastising the women for destroying their own team from within and Jamie shocking everyone by handing Veronica the Ion Lifesaver. Unfortunately, you must make your Ion decision before the inner circle reveals who they voted off and Jamie had already chosen Blair as the Ion recipient--and couldn't change his decision. So Veronica is sent packing and the women's team is again fractured...this time, perhaps, beyond repair. Back To Top
Episode 13:
The men's team has taken command of the battle, racking up six wins to four for the women. The ladies are feeling down and can only think to blame their losses on the competitions being skewed in favor of the boys. Ellen tries to rally her team by saying that the ladies can do anything the guys can, but at this point, few of the women on her team are listening.
Both sides arrive at the mission and find out the game is laser tag. Ayanna is immediately excited because she has had much practice in the game and feels she can do well. The guys respond to this by deciding that in order to win they must take out Ayanna plus Ellen and Ruthie, the two strongest female competitors. The object of the challenge is to eliminate members of the opposite sex while trying to make it across the field. The guys’ strategy is to wait for the ladies to cross the battlefield and then strike them. The women have no strategy despite Ayanna’s desire to create one. Once the first round begins, one by one the ladies are getting eliminated, and when it's done, Ayanna, Ruthie and Genesis are all out of the game. The second round begins and after good teamwork by the men, only Emily is left. Ayanna becomes upset because she feels that no one listened before the game, and that they had a chance and blew it. Unfortunately for the ladies, Emily cannot carry the team by herself and so she too is eliminated. For the final round, the guys are split up to go against each other and James is the winner.
After the mission, Ayanna confronts Ellen and tells her she's not having fun anymore and wants to leave. Despite efforts by Ellen and Emily to convince her to stay, she has made up her mind...which means there is no need for the females to deliberate back at the villas. Blair is on the bottom of the list for the men once again and after holding on for missions, it is time to for him to leave. Jamie gives Blair the ion lifesaver but Blair decides he's still going to leave, as he is content with going home at this point and feels he's made some really good friends Back To Top
Episode 14:
Shane wants out. All of his friends are gone and he’s trapped on the frat boy team, feeling out of place and unhappy. Despite a long conversation with Ruthie and Genesis, he’s set on leaving Jamaica.
The next competition is called Spider-Mon (Get it? Cause they’re in Jamaica! Haha!). Each person must swing from the 10-foot balcony of the resort and rescue tangled dolls without dropping them. While it didn't seem like a scary mission, as each teammate competes they scream with fright. Eric wants to be as close to the Inner Circle as possible but gets disqualified when he lets go of a doll. He knows that this zero means he’s going home. Genesis also gets disqualified and is sure that she’s going home because she’s at the bottom of the board. Shane tells Eric that he wants to go home so that Eric shouldn’t plan on leaving but when he ends up winning the mission, Shane’s entire outlook changes. After accepting his prize he realizes that he's worth something to the team and decides he's going to stay.
Back at the villas there is no need to deliberate. Eric is going home and the girls have finally realized that voting off the lowest person works, so Genesis is history as well. Everyone is thrown for a loop, though, when Shane gives the Ion lifesaver to Genesis. She doesn't know whether to accept it or not because even though she wants to stay, she doesn't want to kick off one of the three women above her. The girls meet and Anne steps up, saying that Genesis deserves to stay, and decides that she will leave instead. The females finally make a group decision that everyone is happy with and they hope that their darkest days are behind them. Back To Top
Episode 15:
Every guy is focused on who they need to beat--especially James, who is only one point behind Shane. For the next mission, the men are told to wear Speedos and the girls don bikinis. They find out why when they arrive at the human aquarium, where everyone must stay underwater in a specific position and use a snorkel to breathe, while every minute a new creature is added.
Melissa quickly leaves the water followed, surprisingly, by Emily. Colin is the first guy out of the pool. Shortly after, the women are eliminated one by one as Lori, then Ellen are called out before even the first sea creature is added into the aquarium. When the judges dump in sea urchins, Genesis, Ruthie and Mark are eliminated. Next, sea cucumbers are added, then lobsters, then shrimp and after two hours have passed, Shane, James and Antoine are still in the competition. Antoine seems to be the only one enjoying himself. He's so comfortable that he spends his time flirting with one of the female judges through his snorkel. His humor makes Shane laugh so hard that water enters his snorkel and he has to leave the game. By this time, three hours have passed and, despite Emily’s pep talk, James can’t take it any more and pops out of the water, leaving Antoine the winner.
Genesis is at the bottom of the women’s board and knows she is leaving. James and Shane have tied at the bottom and the men must make their first voting decision. They want to do a coin toss but James feels he'll lose and wants the Inner Circle to make the decision. Antoine has the Ion lifesaver but is not sure who to give it to, but after meeting with the inner circle, he decides to give it to Shane, sending James home. James is upset but doesn't hold a grudge. Just as the girls get ready to say goodbye to Genesis, Emily tells them that she is going home, leaving the girls extremely confused and unhappy. Perhaps Genesis is safe for another week?

Episode 16:
When James gets eliminated, Emily shocks the ladies' team by choosing to leave with him. No one is happy about this decision and they all feel it is lame to leave because of her boyfriend. Emily claims that one of her sisters needs her, which is the main reason she's leaving. Genesis, once again, gets a stay of execution and continues in the competition. And for the very first time, Lori is one of the members of the Inner Circle.
The next mission is called Razor's Edge. Each person must traverse a course high in the air on a Razor scooter. There are three paths that the person can skate on to get to the other side, but the shorter the path, the narrower it is. Genesis knows she has to come in first place to stay and Shane worries that he, too, will be next to leave. Ruthie is the first lady to go but gets a zero when she takes her foot off the scooter. She gets very upset because she wanted to do well for the team. Ellen gets disqualified as well. Antoine goes and does very well. Melissa is terrified but finishes. Shane goes last for the males and attempts the middle path as he has nothing to lose, but gets disqualified when he falls off. Genesis is the last to go and is trying to move quickly across the course not only to save herself but to try to get a win for the women. Unfortunately, she lifts her foot off the scooter and is disqualified.
The women lose another mission and there is no need to deliberate. Antoine wins the mission, receives the Ion and wants to give it to Shane because he feels he should be rewarded. Shane knows he can't accept it, though, and gives it back to Antoine. After Genesis and Shane leave, the girls discuss how they are tired of losing. Ellen says it's not about the prizes at this point, it's a matter of pride. Back To Top
Episode 17:
With only one mission left before the finale, and seven straight losses, the ladies are feeling down. Mark and Antoine are confident that the men will win once again but are more concerned with how they will do individually, as one false move could knock someone out of the inner circle and put Antoine in the final battle.
The next mission is called Maximum Velocity. As the teams prepare, Johnny tells them that it will be postponed one day due to lightning. The next day, the ladies are pumped and ready to do the mission. Ellen is first and wants to set a good tone so the women will be confident and will follow her lead. Unfortunately, she gets her hair stuck in the machinery and struggles to finish. Jamie is the first guy to go and gets disqualified when he lands outside the red zone. Colin goes and gets a fast time of eight seconds and is pretty confident that it's good enough to win. Lori then slides down almost as fast as Colin, coming in just one second short of his time. Antoine wants to win the mission so that he can stay for the finale but overshoots the red zone and gets disqualified. Melissa doesn't like the mission or the heights, but sucks it up and finishes with a "healthy" time of twenty-nine seconds. As Mark and Ruthie are about to compete, a storm appears and the mission is again postponed.
On mission day three the only people left to compete are Mark and Ruthie. Mark finishes with a respectable time of fifteen seconds and, once again, the fate of the women's team then falls on Ruthie's strong shoulders. She quickly slides down the rope and with an amazing time just over four seconds, obliterating the competition. Everyone feels that the ladies deserve the victory along with the brand new Saturn Ion Quad Coupes. After a final dinner together, Melissa and Antoine head home with no disappointment or regret. And now, with only one competition left, the ladies have a renewed sense of self and know that they have a shot to win the $150,000 prize. Back To Top
Episode 18:
After a month in Jamaica, it is all down to the final challenge for the $150,000 Chili’s dollars! Mark, Colin, and Jamie are going head to head with Lori, Ruthie and Ellen to see whose going to win the Battle of the Sexes. With their losing streak over, the ladies are confident that they have a chance to win... Each team is given a block puzzle as a clue for the mission that is to come. The ladies figure out the puzzle but the guys can't and Mark hopes this isn't a bad sign. After they receive the phone call with details, the teams arrive at the competition course. The game is called "It Takes 3" and will require each trio to work as a team in order to win. The first part of the course is the tri ski slalom, followed by the block-by-block brainteaser, and then the ropes course. No member can advance to the next phase without every person on his or her team completing the obstacle.
The horn blows and the mission begins... The guys quickly get in a groove and finish the ski-slalom first. While the ladies are still struggling, the boys get to the block-by-block challenge but can't seem to figure out the mind game. The ladies finish and quickly complete the brainteaser leaving the guys in their dust. The boys continue to struggle as the women have moved on to the ropes course until Colin decides to examine their completed puzzle and copy what they’ve done. The men don’t feel bad for doing what many would consider foul play. The teams are now tied in the last leg of the competition. During the first part of the ropes course, Ellen is worried because she sees Ruthie, superwoman, having trouble crossing the polecat. The guys finish and go on to the tight rope. Colin is nervous about his ankle, but they finish and head to the final leg.
As the ladies are just finishing the tight rope, Jamie, Mark and Colin take the zip line and head to the finish line for the win.
