Then: Julie hasn't been too lucky with boyfriends--she develops crushes easily, focusing her attention on younger guys, but nothing ever seems to last. She's currently a student at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. This is the farthest this 21-year-old has been from her observant Mormon family in Delafield, Wisconsin. Although wide-eyed and curious about the world, she's seen very little. Her flight to California for the semi-final casting round was only her second time on an airplane. Although Julie has lived a remarkably sheltered life, she's fiercely independent. On first observation, it would be easy to mistake her for a naïve, even close-minded person. In fact, she is a courageous and passionate woman on the verge of discovering her own authority. She remains a committed Mormon and plans to attend church every Sunday.Now: JULIE has little time to worry about being suspended from Bringham Young University because she keeps busy speaking at colleges across the country, along with co-hosting a cable show about computers and new media and appearing on television shows like Larry King Live, The View and Politically Incorrect. She makes her home in Wisconsin and Huntington Beach, California.
