Janet Choi

Then: Janet is an ambitious 21-year-old woman from Chicago. While her parents worked long hours at their family-owned restaurant, Janet was raised by her grandmother, whom she adores. Like many Korean-Americans of her generation, Janet has struggled between loyalty to the traditions of her parents' culture and her own. A junior at Northwestern University with a double major in broadcast journalism and international studies, she is preparing for a career in international investigative reporting.

Now: JANET lives in Los Angeles and is an international anchor/reporter for the school-wide cable Channel One. While at Northwestern University, Janet interned at SPIN magazine in New York and spent a summer studying film in Prague
