Countess Bathory
Countess Bathory
All day long the virgins sit and feast on endless meals
The Countess laughs and sips her wine - her skin doth crack and peel
But when nightime fills the air one must pay the price
The Countess takes her midnight bath with blood that once gave life
Countess Bathory
Countess Bathory
Living in her self styled Hell, the Countess dressed in black
Life's so distant - death's so near - no blood to turn time back
The castle walls are closing in, she's crippled now with age
Welcomes death with open arms - the reaper turns the page

Just a few words on her ladyship Bathory
The Countess Elizabeth Bathory was a REAL person. Born in
Hungary in 1560 she was doomed to a horrible life of her
self made misery. There is no doubt that her awful childhood
led her to the craziness that ruled her lifestyle..at the
early age of nine a band of peasant rebels attacked her home
castle. Most of the castle was destroyed, and alot of the
people who lived there were killed. Elizabeth and her two
sisters Anichka and Shandra were taken to hide in the forest
by thier nurses. Elizabeth found a tree to hide in.The others
were found and tortured to death as Elizabeth had no choice
but to sit quietly and watch her sisters get maimed raped and
killed along with the ladies she had always looked to for all
that she needed. She found her way home to the rubble of
what was left of her childhood protective walls, and she found
the band of murderers sitting around a table with the leader
sittin in a metal chair with fire around the bottom being
cooked. The other murderers were made to eat the cooked flesh
of thier leader whose name was Doza. This punishment was
inflicted upon them when they were caught and Elizabeth's
uncle ordered the sentence. The castle was restored. But
nobody could fill the void of the loss of Elizabeth's sisters
and father. Nobody could fix the disturbed thoughts embedded
in the young girl's head forever.
The Countess Bathory lived a very dark and dispicable life
of cruelty. She is said to have tortured and murdered over 650
virgin girls in order to bathe in thier blood. She believed
that the blood of these virgins could preserve her youthful
beauty. She got this theory from the famous fable "The Maid
Who Bathed in Mare's Milk". She had heard the story as a young
child. And when one of her servant girls was killed as
sentencing for a crime, some of her blood splashed on the
countess' hand and Elizabeth rubbed it in and thought that it
gave her skin a healthy glow, just as she heard of in the tale
of the mares milk. Countess Bathory decided that the blood was
her answer to eternal youth and beauty. She had a cylindrical
device with cycles in it put above the tub she bathed in. She
would get in her tub and have a young virgin girl put into the
device and have the girl cut to death as so the blood would
shower onto her and that is how she bathed in thier blood.
Investigated for her crimes, she was never convicted.
Nonetheless, she was sentenced to live her life walled inside
a room of her castle at Chatice (now in the Slovak Republic).
She lived four years in the chamber refuting the charges of
preachers and priests. While they attempted to make her confess
her crimes, she reasoned against the failure of thier faiths.
At this time, the protestant religion of Martinus Luther
coexisted easily with the Catholic church. Every soul was a
battlefield. Elizabeth, who was raised by a Catholic monk and
taught by Protestant teachers, had an especially complex and
difficult soul.
The Countess Elizabeth Bathory lived in her penned up world
of hell for those four years fighting to justify what she did
yet never admitting her crimes. During that course of time,
the countess had fallen to sickness. As she got weaker, older,
and more miserable, she began to let herself go. She finally
gave up and left this world behind her.
The date of her death was recorded as August 14,1613. The
world bid fairwell to the the villainous and blood thirsty lady
whose cruelty and debauchery even rivalled that of the infamous
Marquis de Sade. But... is she REALLY gone? It is said that the
Countess's spirit lives in mirrors. Mirrors were the ONLY thing
that the beautiful and vain countess took refuge in. They made
her feel beautiful. They renewed her love and faith in herself
for her. Her spirit was caught in them while she lived...its
has been said that her soul was {{{trapped}}} inside the
looking glasses the very F*I*R*S*T time she saw her reflection
in one. So, the nest time you go to fix your make-up, fix your
hair, or just walk by a mirror and glance at your reflection
out of the corner of your eye...(B) (E) (W) (A) (R) (E)...for
the Countess lives in ALL of us...you may just see her big
black eyes gazing BACK at YOU!!!!!!!!!!!! muahahahhahahahah
There are a few books on the countess that you can get some
information out of. The above was a summary of my FAVORITE
called The Blood Countess written by Andrei Codrescu.
Reading about her is NOT for the faint of heart, nor is what
she did to be taken as "cool". She was a very sick and disturbed
person. She was a mass murderer and there is nothing "cool" about
killing people. Please children do not try this at home... hehehe
