Zombies have no HP, so they cannot "die"; however, since they already are dead, if the rest of your units die, you will lose. They also don't consume MP. You cannot control them, so it would be best to only teach them only the very most useful abilities. However, they won't do anything stupid like go after your own party members.

Zombie's Abilities

Eat Brains
: Cause confusion
Spook: Lower brave
Zombie Breath: Cause undead
Zombify: Turn dead/crystallized units into zombies that attack both parties. If you use this on a crystallized ally, he/she/it is not lost permanantly
Eat Neighbor: Drain HP from somebody next to you. If there's somebody next to the chomped unit, it says, "Zombies ate my neighbors!"

Undead: Support ability. You have an undead status. With 0 HP, you can act, and with 0 MP you can cast any spells. You still count as dead, though.
