All About Harv's Friends


Well, as you wander through my site, have you said to yourself, "Gee?!? Who are all these people that hang around that wonderful Harv guy?!?"

Well, since I am such a wonderful guy, I'll tell you . . .

Here we have my very best buddy, my nephew Lucas! Lucas loves to hang out with his Uncle Mike (he calls me ‘Me-Me’) and we always have lots of fun! Lucas is almost three and loves Batman and Robin (except he calls them “Bat-Me and Chuck”). He also enjoys Blue’s Clues, Scooby Doo, Dora the Explorer, and the Wiggles. Some of Lucas’s favorite superheroes are Superman (Me-Me), Spider-man (Meer-Man), the Hulk, the Flash (Puch), Aquaman (Pish-Man), Batgirl (Bat-Gul), Hawkgirl, (Hawk-Gul), Batman (Me-Man), and Robin (Chuck). His favorite movies include Hulk and anything Batman.

Next, of course, are Lucas’s mom and dad: my sister Kelly and my brother-in-law Jerry. Kelly and Jerry are more than just my sister and brother, they are two of my best friends. They are always there for me whenever I need them. Ever since Kelly and Jerry first got together, we have always gone out together: movies, dinner, shopping, everything. I always have fun with them, and I always will. Kelly is an Elementary teacher in Uniontown School District and Jerry works for Verizon.

Here is my best friend, Helene! She is one of the nicest, sweetest, and most beautiful girls I know. She has become the person that I always go to when I need someone to talk to. She is always there to listen. And I always take her advice and her opinions into deep consideration before making any major decisions. Helene graduated from IUP in 2003 with a degree in Marketing and is now working for an insurance firm in Uniontown. She enjoys ‘going out’ and ‘clubbing.’ Helene lives for the weekend, because she says that is the only thing that gets her through the week!

This is another of my best friends, Jeff! Jeff is always there to make me laugh when I'm down. He is just one wacky guy (see picture at right)! Jeff and I have had many great adventures! We are always venturing out to new comic shops (and often getting lost on the way). We even went to a Beach Boys concert together once . . . that was so great! We even got to go on stage with them and sing! Either that or we were so far to the back that we couldn't actually see or hear them so we just imagined that we were with them on stage . . . Let's see . . . Jeff has a home page, too! Click here to go there! Jeff is a fan of the Three Stooges. He worships Weird Al and Captain Kirk. Like me, he collects comic books, including Superman, Green Lantern, and the Fantastic Four. Jeff is a graduate of Waynesburg College. His degree is in Communications. Currently, Jeff is working at the Penn State Fayette Campus where he does absolutely nothing! He also works at the cheap movie theater in Washington . . . where he should let me in for free!

Next we have Jeff’s sister, Molly, who also happens to be a good friend of mine. Molly has been a great friend since high school when she was a freshmen and I was a senior. Molly is always a great person to be around and we always have fun whenever we get together, whether it is driving golf balls or wandering the mall. Molly is currently a student at Pitt majoring in Engineering. She spends most her free time with her boyfriend, Mike. Of course she usually doesn’t have any free time because she is always studying!

Here is another good friend of mine, Jill. Jill has been one of my best friends for nearly as long as I can remember. In fact, I used to think of her as my sister. She’s always been there whenever I needed her and I always have fun around her. Jill is a great person, and a wonderful friend. It seems like she has been working at Jackson Farms ever since I've know her. She loves pigs. Her favorite color is yellow. I think Jill was one of the people that first got me started watching General Hospital! Jill graduated from California University with a degree in Secondary Biology Education. (I think she is also certified to teach General Science.) She is currently a high school science teacher at Beth-Center.

This is my favorite cousin, John, with his wife Becky and their children, Jaden and Delaney. I’ve always looked up to Johnny, and I even had him as my conformation sponsor (and, my conformation name is John!). I think that it is so cool that my friends call me ‘Harv’ because that is Johnny’s nickname, too. John and Becky always throw the best St. Patrick’s Day party! It is always crazy! I always enjoy being around John and Becky; they’re a lot of fun. Every year at the beach, I get to play golf with John. John is a great golfer . . . I hope that I can learn something from him someday . . . John works for Sony (I’m still waiting for my big screen tv!) and Becky works for a daycare. They are now in the process of opening their own daycare.

This little angel is Delaney! She is John and Becky’s daughter, and she is such a sweetheart! She calls me ‘Uncle Mike,’ and I love being around her! She always makes me smile because she always seems so happy to see me.

Here are my buddies Justin and Matt. I’ve known Justin forever. We grew up together, and he is probably my oldest friend. Justin is currently finishing up his Physical Education degree at Youngstown State University where he was on the football team for five years. I haven’t known Matt nearly as long as Justin, but he is a good friend. He is currently a student at Cal-U, majoring in Elementary Education. They enjoy drinking beer, playing/watching football, and hunting. Any time they go out drinking, they take me along, and it is always a good time.

Ronnie and Minnie are also really good friends. Ronnie is Justin’s brother, so I’ve known him for as long as I can remember, too. It seems like he and Minnie have been together forever. They are both great people. Ron and Minnie have the annual New Year’s Eve party, which is always a lot of fun! Ronnie and Minnie have two children, Colton and Talia. Ron is a nurse and Minnie is a lawyer. Minnie’s major in college was English, just like me!

Here we have Laurie and Mike. Laurie is Justin and Ronnie’s sister, so, again, I’ve known her for quite a long time. Laurie and Mike are two of the kindest people I know. It is always fun just to hang out and talk with them. Laurie and Mike have a son, Nicholas, and Mike has a daughter, Alex. Laurie is a pharmacist and Mike is a corrections officer.

Last, but certainly not least, are my two newest friends, Kalie and Nicole. I met both while subbing. They both hated me on the first day, but now I think they are starting to like me a little better . . . Since they are still in school, their lives are filled with drama. I love talking to them because they always have fun and exciting stories to tell! Kalie usually ignores me . . . unless she wants something . . . Nicole is always around whenever I want to talk, and I really enjoy her conversations. She is definitely one of my best friends.
