As I walked with the Lord in my dreams
last night,
He was drying my prayerful tears.
I asked Him why He made the stars,
Yet kept them from being nearer.
His reply was one that comforted me,
And gave me the courage to care.
He said that He made the stars for beauty:
That much I was well aware.
"They prove My plan," He firmly spoke,
"The light they own is free.
Their light is to shine and brighten the
world,
And to watch over the land and sea.'
'They were carefully laid in their place
through the Heavens,
With a purpose that time will tell.
Remember that they each have a strength
of their own,
'Tis true several from the sky have fell.
'They connect to each other through the
heart and mind
With the imagination... of the soul.
And, as a caring light brings love to each
life,
It makes each life a whole."
Then, allow me to ask this question, my
Lord.
Does this light shine out from me?
I would love to live and live to love.
Please, tell me, Oh Lord, what you see.
I trust in Your plan, and believe in Your
word:
I know You'll always be right.
But, the pains of my life are, at times, way
too much,
And I've lost my conviction to fight.
Please, give me a star, I ask of Thee,
As a light to show me my way.
So long have I spent in finding a love,
Yet my heart's been the one to pay.
To reach out and hold a star would be...
The most beautiful feeling I'd know.
I'd do all I could to prove to my star
How much I cherish it so.
Must I deal, each day, with the thought...
Of love knowing me, but passing me by:
When I know that I'm not just another
small star
In the vast of a midnight sky?
As the Lord thought of the prayer I had
spoke,
He held me close to His side.
Then, after a moment, He answered my
prayer,
And I fell at His feet and cried.
The happiest tears I had ever felt
Were among my dreams tight.
He had given me Joy, and taken my pain,
And helped me deal with my fright.
It was then that I knew what the dream
was about:
The Lord was talking to me.
He knew of the world and my troubles
within
And His wish was to set me free.
So as you go about your way,
Remember that the Lord is there.
And, that if you've ever needed a star,
For you I've always cared!
It's funny, I guess, but I just now thought,
About who my precious star could be.
Still, the Lord only knows what will happen
to us.
I guess we'll have to wait... and see.
The End???
