United Self Defense is not a "Style" of martial arts,  rather it is a "System".  This "System" incorporates a combination of three different arts from three different lands.  Isshinryu Karate originated in Okinawa.  Pentjak Silat came from Indonesia.  Boxing, though its roots were from  Ancient Greece, was popularized in America.  These three styles combined into one form a "unique" style of self defense.

United Self Defense System started in September of 1999.  Its founders are Sam Cervantes, Dom Fantozzi, and John Pierce.  This was developed because we believe people should learn different ways of handling themselves when confronted.  We believe that "stylish" and "fancy" moves are useless and ineffective for survival on the street!
