Computer Skills –  Microsoft Office Suit (Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Word), WordPerfect, Photo Impression, HTML, business e-mail and the internet, typing speed 80 wpm (words per minute).
 
Am also familiar with proper business etiquette, telephone use, transcription, electronic calculators, file management systems, and voice recognition software.
 
Known for taking pride in my work and being a quick study; yet also for being a modest, conscientious, polite, honest, loyal and easy to get along with person.


Activities and Organizations
FFA (Future Farmers of America)


Ø       Earned the FFA Chapter Degree
Ø       Elected Chapter Assistant Secretary
Ø       1st at State Poultry Evaluation Competition
Ø       District competetor in FFA Knowledge Contest and Grassland Management team
Ø       Participated in a Supervised Agriculture Experience program with sibling, managing 5 to 15 head of horses, guinea pigs, and chickens
Ø       Participated in summer FFA leadership camp


 
Girl Scouts


Ø       Helped organize trips and activities as a Senior Girl Scout and  performed minor office duties
Ø       Co-managed a dozen younger Girl Scouts during things like sleep-overs and on trips, supervising them in activities like fire safety and making dinner
Ø       Participated in teaching activities to show younger Girl Scouts various arts and crafts like scrap-booking as well as skills like computer use and fire building


 
FCCLA (Family, Career and Community Leaders of America)


Ø       Elected class secretary
Ø       Helped decorate for school dances and socialized with other FCCLA members statewide


Art Club


Ø       Won 2nd place in a districts wide art fair
Ø       Helped decorate parade float


 
Have been on the Honor Roll/High Honor Roll every school semester. Also participated in Quiz Bowl contests and in a month long after-school teamwork  and leadership building class learning to manage conflicts, community differences, and problem solving in a group.

August 2002 - 2005


Laborer
Worked mostly on family farm in miscellaneous manual labor capacities such as hauling and stacking wood, aided in building fences, assisting in the training and sale of horses, cared for animals, helped administer medications, and slaughtered livestock.
 
Have also baby-sat for family and friends, caring for children one and a half years old and up; and am an assistant care-giver for the elderly.
