Who is Alora Knight

Writing bios is not my favorite occupation but here goes.
I was born in South Dakota, moving to Lodi, California when I was 17.
I now live in the Carson Valley in Nevada where the mountains are a
constant source of inspiration.I am going to be 82 this year. I am
married to Bob Knight, have two children, three grandchildren and two
great-grandchildren. They are great joys. I wrote both poetry and music
years ago but was dormant for a long time until a few years ago.
I started to read my old poetry at the rest homes and their interest
stimulated me to start again. I started to make mats and frame about
50 of my poems, put 226 together in a book and 50 in an inspirational
book. These I sell in over a dozen outlets in Nevada and California. It
pays for itself and it has been a rewarding hobby, knowing that what
I have written has amused, comforted or inspired someone. I still do volunteer work at the care homes. My family live forever so I intend
to keep on with my project for a long time.
