A Warrior's Prayer

Forgive me
oh sacred Earth
for not offering you my tears

Forgive me
oh holy Water
for not setting your torrent free

Forgive me
oh mighty Wind
for not crying with thunderous voice

But you, oh purifying Fire
do not forgive cowardice
consume this heart now!

Fuse me to the thorns of the desert
forge me anew
spring from my paws before these walls!

Because I am now human
Daughter of Gaia
and not a convenient scapegoat

Because I am a Warrior
Daughter of the Wild
and not a puppet of weaklings

Erase from my heart the treacherous mirage
that before my eyes erected
those who claimed to be friends and allies

I have not lost faith in myself
only in falsehood
Man is the simplest animal
what threatens his comfort, he vanquishes
what hurts his ears, he silences
what acts as a mirror, he shatters
what does not obey him, he judges and condemns

I thus rise rebellious
strength in my scars,
courage in my indomitable soul
towards victorious liberation from these walls
towards joyous fulfillment of this adventure!

So I swear. So mote it be.
