The Platypus of the Great Eris
Oh, a Platypus woke me up one day
was a glorious, frozen yet sunny morning
all She did was drop in my lap the fruit
whose golden-ish tones were to my eyes soothing
then back down She climbed from the tiny bunk
which had seen both my greatest and worst nights
glancing back at me with a wink in Her Left Eye
and a wave of the Five Finger-Bones of Her Webbed Hand.
