this is one of Kelly's sketches for the sleeve!

The rumour of a local Portland label working on a Dead Moon tribute was something that had been buzzing for a while, but when I got in touch with Brent and Mark from Last Chance they were, I think, not fully aware of what would happen when 'the word got out'. Well... the word did get out and they were covered in tapes and CDs, with bands giving their versions of Dead Moon songs, form lo-fi tot hi-fi (and they even got some really weird shit too, I can tell you). Fred had said he'd help pick out the songs... Kelly (who once called himself 'the seminal Dead Moon sleeve artist') did a great job on the sleeve... and they decided that it had to become a double - and even then it wasn't possible to include all the songs they wanted to be on it, so yes, it was hard. FORTY bands doing, well, almost forty different songs. What can I say? This: check it out and who knows, there might be a "volume two" if this turns out to be a success...!

Once more: I'll keep you posted...
