Full Name: Dirktekgwee Bluefish Nick Names: Dirk, Dirky Race: Mermaid Breed: Crossbreed; half-siren, half-selkie Weight: 247lbs Height: 6’7” Location: Centre Fountain, Cordell Academy, Connecticut, USA Currently Wearing: A black band t-shirt, with 'PINK FLOYD' across the front in large white block letters. Description: Her selkie heritage gave her seaweed-like green hair, paler, however, then what was usual, and falling to her waist, sticking to most of her upper body. The same heritage line gave her her yellow eyes, wide and usually staring almost creepily, as well as her webbed fingers, and her very pointed, somewhat yellow teeth. And her height. Something that made her a little too large for the fountain she currently inhabited, and added onto her weight. Fishy looking ears and gills came, as well, from being part selkie. Her siren half graced her with human-coloured skin, a gracefully slender body, and a long, finned green tail. Blue scales framed her face, along her cheeks, the edges of her ears, on her shoulders, her elbows and down the lower part of her arms, the sides of her body and over her breasts, and ending where the darker green scales of her tail started. Along her neck, and behind her ear were the gills that allowed her to breath underwater. Furcadian Description: Skin a rather pale shade, framed with blue scales around her cheeks, shoulders, lower arms, and disappearing under a baggy black t-shirt sporting 'PINK FLOYD' in large white block letters. Eyes were yellow, teeth shark like, ears fishy, and fingers webbed. Wavy pale green hair clung to most of her upper form, legs replaced by a long green tail. Current resident of Cordell's centre fountain, and protected by the EMBA. Personality: Being a crossbreed of two different types of merfolk that... probably shouldn’t breed, would probably be the cause behind her short attention span, fish-like memory, and all over seemingly ditzy personality. At least she’s usually friendly, though rather greedy, and too curious for her own good. She has a tendency to grab at people and objects, and is quite moody. Despite her fish-like memory, she seems skilled at remember people—just not places and events. First impressions with her seem to stick, and it’s a little difficult to make her change her opinion on someone. She throws tantrums sometimes, and while people are having one-sided conversations with her, she’s usually having a one-sided conversation with them, in her own screechy language. Her siren heritage, it seems, wasn’t passed down to her, as she’s a horrible, glass-breaking singer. About EMBA: Endangered Magical Beings Activists Group: A well known American-founded group of witches and wizards. They claim to be protecting Dirktekgwee's rights, in disallowing Cordell to relocate her. Her 'kind' is endangered in Connecticut (and probably just about everywhere else), and since she seems happy where she is, she stays. History: Born to Quaqua Bluefish, a selkie, and Thessa, a siren (taken from Rowling’s history of HP mermaids). Thessa, captured by muggles, had been transported half way across the damned world to the seas where Quaqua saw and freed her. They escaped, and lived all happyhappy together. Dirktekgwee (named by her father after his own mother), grew up in the usual sort of merfolk household, teased by the other selkie merpeople for her dashing good looks and overall illogical appearance. Her parents fought often, and around the time Dirk turned ten or so, mother Thessa cracked, packed her things, threw Dirk over her shoulder, and left her husband. The two migrated across the waters, Thessa looking for where she had lived previously, but a little lost in the wide-open sea. At some point or another, after much hitchhiking (however mermaids do that), they crash landed along the coast of the US of A. Discovering a hidden underground lake of sorts, from the inside of a river leading in from the shoreline (somehow), Dirk and her mother set up shop and lived quite happily for some time. Around the age or equivalence of twenty, Dirk met and fell in love with one Ophil Pantooth, and they dated for quite a while before Ophil presented her with a pretty coral ring. As Dirk was about to happily accept, there was a sudden sucking sound, a rush of water, and the next thing she knew, Dirk found herself in the fountain of Cordell Academy without an explanation, and before becoming officially engaged.
