TRIBUTE TO SUSIE
The third Latina to be crowned Miss USA, Susie Castillo's goal was to inspire the hispanic community to pursue positive goals. She proved that they can be achieved through hard work and positivity. A year after the Lawrence, Massachusetts beauty was crowned Miss USA concluding the 52nd annual pageant, she has met with many influential people and has traveled throughout the nation promoting the causes of the Miss Universe Organization.

Susie has appeared on camera and on the covers of magazines. She placed within the Top 15 at the 2003 Miss Universe pageant in Panama, where she was a favorite to win. As her national costume, Susie chose to wear the "Wonder Woman" outfit to symbolize the strength of the American woman. She has socialized with notable celebrities while becoming a celebrity, herself. Whether its meeting the USO troops or signing autographs, the 24 year-old is now free to discover new opportunities and experiences. Susie had the chance to host Lifetime TV's "The 'I Do' Diaries" and appeared with on "Christmas at Rockafeller Center," among other television appearances. Recently, she also said, 'I do,' when she became engaged to be married to boyfriend of nearly five years, Matthew Leslie during the live taping of "On Air with Ryan Seacrest."
