Who am I? Well, if you don't know who I am already, I guess you must be wondering, since you clicked here! It all began on May 14, 1977, when I was born, and grew up in Fairfield, CT. Yep, that's right, here's a little trivia: I graduated from high school with John Mayer, the singer! Did not know him at all, though. Oh well. I did have quite a bit of fun despite that, though! After all, along the way, I dabbled in this and that, and journeyed to a few interesting places. For example, I started violin lessons around third grade, eventually going on to play in the Greater Bridgeport Youth Symphony Orchestra, various chamber orchestras, and, what I really enjoyed, musical theatre. I was even on the fencing team, of all things. And, I spent a few interesting and sometimes incredible summers at a really great summer camp in the boonies of Connecticut, called Buck's Rock. Well, town is a little less of the boonies now, but hopefully, the camp is still offering some great times. Of course, debateably the most influential part of my childhood was the prettiest kitty in the world, my cat, Tigger. Anyway, at the ripe old age of 18, I set out, all bright-eyed and bushy-tailed, to pursue my higher education at Simmons College, in Boston. I had planned on getting a degree in Physical Therapy, but switched to Health Care Administration for my graduate degree. Along the way, I gathered a few friends. Some of the Simmons women are shown below, at our friend Moira's wedding! ![]() After finally finishing my degree, I set off on my grand adventure to LA, where I live now! Yep, just packed up the U-Haul and drove 3,000 miles - in three days (plus one day stop in Chicago)!! Really fun. If you are planning on driving cross-country, here's some advice: don't listen to your sister. She will just scare you. It is not scary and it is often quite beautiful, if you go for sight-seeing-type adventures. I barely even had a map (unless you count Cracker Barrel restaurant's map of the country I picked up at a rest stop in NY)! Anyway, when not working at UCLA Medical Center, I'm still dabbling in this and that! Right now, I'm taking salsa dancing lessons and tennis lessons. After they are over, I'm hoping to take beach volleyball lessons! And, I returned to my snowy roots, and finally braved taking snowboard lessons! Who would think I would need to travel 3,000 miles to finally try that? Well, unfortunately, familiarity with snow does not lead to innate agility while snowboarding, but I did have some fun! | ||
