Zoo Station

I can see it burning so brightly

This fire is protecting me

At least I wish it would do

Because I'm afraid of what you could do

How far are you going to go

Before I feel so used to live and show my sorrow

So I ran away

To a place where I can stay

When the sun goes down

A time where the leaves are blown

I start to see a picture

It reminds me of you but I'm not sure

Maybe a lonely man, now I see it clearly

Like me he crossed the endless seas

I'm standing here in my ravine

Where from no one I can be seen

The only place where God is near

The words in your mouth didn't sound clear

We shared a stormy kind of love

Viewed by the angels from above

I just know I won't let you fall

But you always make me crawl

Don't let me reach out for the death

I have so many demons in my head

They're calling out to me

They're waiting for you to leave me

And to be damned for eternity

Don't you hear them laughing so loudly

Deep inside though I know you're meant to stay

So in my darkest night I started to pray
