It's a secret for no one that I'm practising Witchcraft. But I had to face some strange reactions from my friends and the people around me. So I figured I could do something on my page to tell you how it really is. So it's kinda FAQ. With some explanations.
First, some people often assiocates Witchcraft with Satanists. It's the biggest lie I have ever heard. I'm practising Witchcraft but do not worship Satan : I always was a true believer in God and I hate people tell me I'm a satanist. I take it as an insult.
I don't know where this comes from. The truth about is, in the principles of belief of a Witch, it's clearly written HARM NONE. Especially because I started to learn Wicca. You don't have to take personal benefits in making other people suffer or anything of that kind. Take care of the other. I know sometimes it's hard not to use something to hurt someone you really hate, and I know that well, but you have to avoid it for a simple and good reason - the rule of three. Let me explain myself : whatever you do, it will comes back to you sooner or later thirdly. So if you try to kill someone, just imagine the following ...
What I say is still no really clear, uh ? Well, Witchcraft is a form of religion like another, in fact. It just makes you use your psychic abilities to help you come to your aims. It makes you grow. Actually that's what I think. To do a spell, to meditate, you call out to your deep feelings, your thoughts, your dreams. And the way of life that comes with is made to make you feel better. I don't say other religions don't. I often take some comfort in a church. But when it comes only from you, and the moonlight, you really feel you can.
Then, people assiocates Witches like people who likes to dance naked in a forest worshipping some dark deities during the solstices. Well, it's not all wrong - I like to go in a forest for the Lammas sabbat for example (in August) and we call out some goddesses to help us for our spells. But ... I have never been naked lol That's some old cliches. You know what ? Now Witches are no longer the old women hiding somewhere in a lonely house in a black forest like we used to be told. They live normally. I go to school, to the cinema, see friends, fall in love (especially !) and so on ... You just have to watch "Charmed" for instance. Why not.
I'm not on my own. I work with my coven. A coven is a group of 13 witches or less that works together. We're 5, all in the same school, all girls, all very friends, all very funny. We have our Book Of Shadows and all that comes with. And you don't have to be afraid of us. We won't eat you. We may seduce you, but not kill you. To learn a bit more, see my coven page.
