My super terrific, totally awesome, top of the charts weekend in Provincetown!!
Spring Fling 2003
If you had to choose a place to make your first real daylight appearance, you couldn't do any better than P-town.  The weather was awesome, but not as awesome as I felt!  Wow, what an incredible time I had...dinner, clubbing, shopping, lunch on a deck overlooking the harbor...all as Misha.  And when these poor people woke up that morning, little did they know they'd end up here.
Me with a batch of the incredible gals I met, most of them for the first time...Diana Arria is flawless, even up close...still is, too!  Roxy died in early 2006, suddenly and unexpectedly...I miss her a lot. She was a total ringer for Sigourney Weaver in that auburn hair, and what a handful she was.  Such a fun group.  It was so great just to be out on a lovely day...and not the slightest possibility of getting hassled.  My outfit was something I had dreamed up about 2 years before, and finally cobbled together.  I'm not sure the Bohemian Trailer-Park look was up to snuff with my classy friends, but I gotta be me!
And this is June Casad...or just "Junie".  I originally met her on a trip to Boston in early 2002, and we managed to stay in touch over the next 14 months or so (thanks, Yahoo Messenger).  So this was exactly the second time I got to see her, but she is SO worth the trip.  What a total sweety she is...
Some of the group outside the hotel, as Junie tries to summon a taxi to take us into town (the company is called Queen Cab...what a hoot).  The streets in P-town are hopelessly narrow and confusing, and the hotel was about a mile out of the town center, so the cabs were the way to go.  The taxi lady thought we really brightened up the place!  Which is true, of course...

This was the weekend against which all my other Misha outings are compared...it was a truly ground-breaking experience for me!  It's the one place where I never feel self-conscious, or worry about how I'll be perceived...and one of the very few places on the planet that I'd wear bright blue furry boots in public without a second thought!  Go to my next P-Town page to see what I'm talking about!
