Since I have a turbo on this car, and the turbo heats up
during long and hard runs, I need something to cool it. The turbo once got
so hot that it was very uncomfortable to the touch. Here's an air intake
I make for the car to keep this turbo cooled.
1. I started by marking the areas I wanted to cut out for the intake.
2. The material I am going to use for the intake is just plastic. I cut out this peice from a packaging box. It works great because I is really flexible and durable.
3. I used a dremel tool and cut out the hole. This is where I'm going to mount the intake.
4. I test fitted the intake. If it was too narrow, I would use the dremel and widen the hole a bit.
5. Once the fit was perfect,
I painted the intake using the same paint I used to paint the body. I tested
the intake by running the car hard, and I felt a big difference in heat reduction.
