Aya is the reluctant leader of Weiss, and the loner of the group. He has a bad past (hell doesn't all of the Weiss guys have one?) that fuels his anger toward fighting. Altough usually he is reserved, he is passionate when it comes to killing his foes. Aya is not even his real name. It's his sister's name, but he took it himself when he decided to seek revenge for her. He also wears an earing in his left ear that he bought for Aya-chan. He bought two but only wears one... jeez.

In all seriousness, Aya is one of my favorite anime characters of all time. Maybe its because I love men that hide their feelings under a veneer of coolhearted assholes. I suspect it is because I want to dig down beneath that surface of cool aloofness to find the tneder heart below. But Aya is a tortured man, trying to seek vengence on a world that used to be once a happy place. My heart goes out to him. I also love the fact that his seiyuu is my ultimate favorite Koyasu-sama, that only deepens my love for the enigma that is Fujimiya Ran. 100 Reasons why I love Aya-kun
