you will need
1 package of chicken breasts
or 1 cut up chicken
1 stick of butter
2 cups of instant rice
2 cans of cream of chicken soup
3 cups of water
1 package of onion soup mix
Use a
Dutch oven or roasting pan. Preheat oven to 350. Melt butter over low flame in
Dutch oven. Turn off heat and mix in the onion soup mix and the dry rice. After
completely mixed up add the water and place the chicken on top of the rice. Spoon the cream of chicken
soup over the chicken and place it in the oven for about 2 hours. (ovens vary) Check and stir halfway through cooking to make sure that it is not sticking and if it looks at all dry add one more cup of water. Serves about 6 This will be very hot when it is done and takes what seems like forever to cool off so be careful. I usually serve it with
veggies and a light salad.
