Rothesay Writings November 2002
The November meeting was an
opening and closing as we were to join our ladies to celebrate Christmas.
There were 17 members present and three visitors. AGSW Bob Clark was unable to attend however
he had sent us a Christmas card which was received with good spirit.
Once again the Ladies Night was a great success with lots of good food
to eat and refreshments to drink. The
raffles were well subscribed to with lots of prizes. The cutting boards donated by Neville Ball of Kianawah Lodge
were an added bonus. Harmony was provided by some of the ladies
led by Hazel Barnes. A great deal of
interest was shown by the puzzles which were displayed around the supper room
thanks to Hazel. The night was concluded with the singing of Auld Lang Syne.
The annual Christmas Breakfast at Noel Sharp’s place was well attended
with 16 adults and six children. Santa
Clause kept the kids busy by delivering early presents, Noel missed out on this as he was absent
during the visit. Thanks to Noel and
Jess for having us again. The
wheelbarrow of goodies was drawn and First and Second prizes were won by Allen Barden. Noel Sharp and Russell Hamill were responsible for the successful
raffle and our gratitude is conveyed to them.
This months meeting is to be an emulation of the Second Degree. Those doing work will be notified
separately.
The Pocket Diaries are now available from the Stanley Lodge. Please contact the secretary if you wish to
order one.
Bro Bob Nesbitt has now taken up residence at the Sandgate Masonic
