June 2002
In June we took a vacation to Cape Hatteras National Seashore in The Outer Banks of North Carolina.  We had a house very close to the beach and Aunt Shelly stayed with us for most of the time we were there. One day we took a ferry to Okracoke Island, then from there we took a private boat to Portsmouth Island where we toured Portsmouth Village. Portsmouth Village is part of Cape Lookout National Seashore, it's a deserted town of only a few remaining houses, a post office, and a church. We were the only people around, then we walked to the beach and had it all to ourselves too. We also saw five lighthouses on our trip and climbed to the top of one of them. We collected 11 new passport
stamps on our trip bringing our total to 201. Click HERE
to see them.
Lizzy now crawls all over the house and is starting to pull herself up to a standing position. She got three teeth in during the month of June and can now eat some Cheerios and other table foods. Tommy loves going out into the backyard and picking all of our strawberries, blueberries, blackberries, and raspberries. He can also spend hours playing in the sandbox and on the swingset. Chrissy graduated her Pre-K class in the middle of June. It's hard for us to believe that next September she will be in Kindergarten! Here is her diploma from school for a job well done.

After 2 weeks of being very, very loose, Chrissy's first tooth to fall out happened today! The Tooth Fairy will make her first visit to our house tonight and Chrissy is very anxious for what she may leave under her pillow.
