August 2002
Last month was a very fun month for all of us. At the beginning July we went to the Morris Arboretum where they were having a special exhibit of large insect art made from tree branches. There is also a large outdoor model train that they call "The Garden Railway". After that we went camping for two nights with the Behlers at French Creek State Park, near Reading, Pennsylvania. Then we took some time off and went to Sesame Place, Storybook Land, and Dorney Park over the course of four days. Chrissy and Tommy had so much fun at each place and even Lizzy got to go on a few rides. At Sesame Place she loved splashing in the large pools and floating on the tube down Lazy River. Chrissy and Tommy's favorite rides there were the large water slides and inner tube rides. It was a very hot day and all of the water rides were perfect. Storybook Land has great rides for kids and it wasn't very crowded so we never had to wait in line. Tommy and Chrissy loved going on the roller coaster over and over again. While we were at Dorney Park, Lizzy stayed at Gram's for the day and Grammy and Grandpop Yochum went with us on the rides. Chrissy says that Dorney Park is now her second favorite amusement park after Disneyworld. We all had alot of fun at the Camp Snoopy section of the park, but the kids also liked some of the grown-up rides that they were allowed to go on too. We also added one more passport stamp to our ever growing collection.
We went to the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area.
Just as we were sitting down to eat our picnic lunch,
there was a heavy thunderstorm right on top of us.
Although we got soaked, we had alot of fun.

Here are some photographs from the past month.

The model trains operate on several tracks at the same time.
Tommy, Chrissy, Dominic, and Anthony all had fun while playing in
the lake near the campgound while Lizzy had fun watching.
