My page for curious christians

Curiousity killed the cat, but satisfaction brought it back! It is not a sin to be curious about other religions. When I was a christian, I tried to learn as much about other people's religions as I could. Wicca felt natural to me. How did I know it was right for me? Just a feeling. Casting spells and praying to god, and a goddess felt right to me. I expiremented a little with wicca before I decided it was right for me. You might want to also. Let me disspel some myths about us:

Not all of us are mean, man hating hags in our mid 30s.

No, I consider myself to be a nice girl and I'm 15. I guess I don't fit the stereotype.

We are not satan worshippers and we are not all gothic.

Wicca does not believe in a "satan". I believe there is evil out there in the form of people, but no satan. And I am not gothic at all. I don't flaunt my religion around or wear it like a neclace. A lot of wiccans I've met are goth, I am not of that persuasion, but some are.

We do not sacrifice animals!

Wiccans believe in helping the earth, and working to save animals, not sacrifice them. If I ever met someone who sacrificed animals I would be furious!

We do not cast spells to do evil, or to create radical differences in our lives.

Wiccans cast spells to creat subtle changes for the good of themselves and others. Spells cannot, and will not solve all your problems. I've been asked many times to cast spells for people, and sometimes I'll do it. Generally I don't though, so unless you are in a dire need don't ask me please.

We don't hate christians

It may come off that way sometimes. Christians generally have a nasty attitude towards us. I'm not saying all do, but lets put it this way: I've never gotten a hate mail from a jewish person or a hindu. I like most christians. The only time I don't like them is when the put down my religion. Most aren't mean, just misinformed about wicca.

So I hope you've learned something. If you ever have questions feel free to e-mail me. Just click the dove on the main page!

Blessed be!
Ophelia
