"An' ye harm none, do what thou will.

What ye sendeth forth comes back to thee
so ever mind the law of three.

Wiccan Footprints in the Sand

One night a witch dreamed she was walking along the beach with the goddess and the god. Many scenes from her life flashed across the sky. In each scene there were footprints in the sand. In some scenes, there were three sets of footprints in the sand, sometimes there were only two. This bothered the witch because at the tough times in her life there were only 2 sets of footprints. So she turned to the Lord and the Lady and said " You promised me that if I followed you, that you would walk with me always.  But I noticed during the most difficult times in my life, there were only two sets of prints in the sand. Why, when I have needed you most, you have not been there for me?" The Lord and Lady looked at each other, and then at the witch. "The times when there were only two sets of prints," said the Goddess, "Were the times when we carried you." The God finished.
Isn't that beautiful? The first time I read it I cried!

Charge of the God
Listen to the words of the great father, who was called of old Osiris, Zeus, Thor, Pan, Cerrunos, Herne, Lugh, Anubis, and many other names. My law is harmony with all things. Mine is the secret that opens the gates of life and mine is the dish of salt of the earth that is the body of Cerrunos, that is the eternal cycle of rebirth. I give knowledge of life everlasting, and beyond death I give promise of regeneration and renewal. I am the sacrifice, the father of all things, and my protection blankets the earth. Hear the words fo the dancing God, the music who's laughter stirs the winds. Who's vioce calls the seasons: I am the Lord of the hunt and the power of the light, sun in the clouds, and the secret of the flame, I call upon you to rise and come unto me. For I am the flesh of the earth and all it's beings, through me all things must die, and with me are reborn. let my worship be in the body that sings, for behold, all acts of willing sacrice are my rituals. Let there be desire and fear, anger and weakness, joy and peace, awe and longing within you. For these too, are part of the mysteries found within yourself, within me, all beginnings have endings, all endings have beginnings.

Charge of the Goddess

Now listen to the words of the great mother, who was of old called among men Artemis, Astarte, Athena Diana, Melusine, Aphrodite, Cerridwen, Dana, Arianrhod, Isis, Bride and by many other names. Whenever you have need of anything once in the month and better it be when the moon is full, then you shall assemble in some sevret place and adore the spirit of me, Queen of all the Witches. There shall you assemble, ye who are fain to learn sorcery, yet have not won it's deepest secrets: to those  I will teach things that are as of yet unknown. And you shall be free from slavery, and as a sign that you are really free you shall be skyclad in your rites. And you shall dance, sing, feast, make music and love, all in my praise. For mine is the ecstasy of spirit, and mine also is joy on earth, for my law is love unto all beings. Keep pure your highest ideal, strive ever towards it. Let naught stop you or turn you aside, for mine is the secret door which opens upon the land of youth, and mine is the cup of the wine of life, and the cauldron of Cerridwen, which is the holy grail of immortality. I am the gracious goddess, who gives the gift of joy unto the heart of man. Upon earth, I give the knowledge of the spirit eternal, and beyond death, I give peace and freedom, and reunion with those who have gone before. Nor do I demand sacrifice, for behold, I am the mother of all loving, and my love is poured out upon the earth.
