"Mi Chula"
We purchased "Mi Chula" (Spanish for "My Pretty One") on August 14, 1999, From Clipper Bay Yacht Brokers, in the yard at Herrington Harbor North, in Deale, Maryland.  At the time she was on the hard and she remained that way until April 25, 2000, when, on a very wet and chilly day, she returned to the water.  During her land bound hiatus, most of our time was spent fixing and upgrading her to the point where we felt she was sea worthy.  Here are a few pictures from launch day.  There was a substantial amount of tension prior to her hitting the water, this due in no small part to the amount of work that was done below her waterline.  While still a work in progress, and she will be for some time, we consider her to be worthy of her name.
"Mi Chula" is our 1969 Pearson Coaster, hull #120.
Our inaugeral sail, just past Herrington Harbor South heading out towards the Bay and then north to "Mi Chula's" new home, with our friend Kevin, just after hoisting the mainsail for the first time.  It's a good thing that Kevin came with us since neither myself, Anita, Mikie nor Mandy  had ever sailed anything larger than a Hobie Cat.
