Ken Shea is sending me updated photographs of this system.  He now is using a EV  Centurion Klipsch type corner horn for the lowest frequencies in his system.  Plus he has been hard at work tweeking several other hings in his system.  For myself and Blair this is the man that started it all, listening to his system with EV speakers got us hooked.
A person I only know of as "Tate" is sending me pictures of his system, one speaker shown here is an open baffle speaker.  Tate recently aquired a pair of SP12B's to add to his baffle, so we are awaiting more up to date photo's from him as well..
Above you see two pictures of the same speakers,  just one has grill covers over the drivers.  This is an open baffle speaker system produced by Dave Lenord, with five drivers they are a Bezzel array of sorts.  These drivers center around a EV Wolverine LS12 driver,  the other large driver are for lower bass frequencies being crossed over below 100Hz.  Dave has many tube electronic amplifiers that he drives these speakers with, a Heathkit, a Bell, and a Bogan.
Dave is a real tweeker using active crossovers and a piezo tweeter crossed over at about 8K Hz. Dave says that this is the most coherent best bass he has ever had with any speaker.   I think Dave should try a pair of 12trxb's, or perhaps some 15trx's in these baffles.  You never know what Dave is going to do to a speaker though, he is famous for cutting out dust caps and inserting phase plugs.  So far he has not be tempted to do so with his EV speakers, thank goodness!
More are comming.
