WELCOME TO
DENISE METZGER'S
PIANO STUDIO

I am a Western New York PIANO + VOICE TEACHER
with 40 + years experience and I have some openings!

I specialize in teaching piano and voice to young children,
and many of my students continue on throughout their
high school and college years.
Many of my students have gone on to perform
in professional in roles, including "Christine" in Phantom
of the Opera on Broadway and other professional & community theatre.
Many of my students have studied music in college as well
and have become teachers themselves.
Over the years, I have been the Director of the WNY
CHILDREN'S THEATRE performances of Peter Pan,
You're A Good Man Charlie Brown, and school performances
of Pippin, Bye Bye Birdie, My Fair Lady, Half a Sixpence,
and Apple Tree.
I have also been an organist/choir director at a variety
of area churches.

The musical parts of my life are listed above,
but as well, I have been a foster mom to 31 children and
have adopted 3 children. They are now 13 and the twins are 10.
They have grown up in a very musical household indeed!
As well, we are a homeschooling family, and study
the arts, music, and culture avidly.

"Denise is a gifted teacher and loves people of all ages.
When there's love between a teacher and student, the artistry thrives."
This complimentary quote is from:
~Joe Mosello~ one of the world's greatest trumpet players!
He has performed with Maynard Ferguson, Harry Connick,
Aretha Franklin, and Ray Charles.
Joe is a Broadway musician extraordinaire!

from your heart."

what culture we're from, everyone loves music."

it is impossible to be silent."

and then doesn't have to go to an osteopath, then
there's something wrong."

above all to study the music profoundly... music is like
the ocean, and the instruments are little or bigger islands,
very beautiful for the flowers and trees. "
~Andre Segovia~

~Sidney Lanier~

"Simply put, music can heal people."
