-When I ask Mercury to do the following, she does.
-Give me (or someone else specified) a kiss. She kisses me (or someone else specified, including herself in the mirror or photos).
-Wave
-Turn around (used to, but not keen on doing anymore).
-Show me her right foot.
-Show me her left foot.
-Show me your pretty wings. She flaps.
-Knock. She bangs her beak on the wall or whatever is near and then she says "who's there".
-Touch it. She touches whatever it is with her beak.
-Touch it with your foot. She touches whatever it is with her foot.
-Touch my nose. She touches my nose with her beak.
-Touch my nose with your foot. She touches my nose with her foot.
-Climb the ladder. She starts reaching up and out with her feet to climb my alternating hands as I move them upward for her so she can reach the ceiling.
-Go upside down. She flips herself upside down from my hand, and usually with force. :)
-Fly to your perch. She flies to her perch.
-Go potty. She is potty trained, so she tends to go.
-Drink water. Usually she will drink water if I tell her to, and I usually tell her to when I know she needs it. (Sometimes she tells me, too. :))
Verbal Tricks
I tell her to say a particular word or ask her a question, etc.
-What does the dog say? She barks. This is also the only question she also asks and then answers.
-What does the faucet say? She drips.
-What does the owl say? She says hoot.
-What does Pillsbury say? She does the Pillsbury Doughboy giggle.
-What does the monkey say? She sounds like a monkey.
-What does the bird say? She says tweet, tweet.
-Is it funny? She laughs.
-What's your name? She says Mercury.
-Say Mercury. She says Mercury.
-Say pretty wings. She says pretty wings.
-Say good bird. She says good bird.
-I say hi or hello. She says hello.
-I say bye. She says bye, bye or bye, bye birdie.
-Anytime any sort of telephone, cell phone, door bell, etc. rings, Mercury says hello. If only I could actually teach her to answer it... That is the next challenge.
