But her labs were successful. A rotating hull housed 6 interlinked quantum singularities which were able to draw together matter at the prow of the ship and condense it into an infinatly dense point. All of the power of the vessel can be used to drected a gravity funnel around the blast, directing it to it's companion high gravity target. Though this weapon is able to destroy entire planets in a single shot, it can only fire once per every 72 hours. This of course, if the vessel maintains very low activity and remains stationary. The titanic gravitational forces used to create this weapon, however, make the ship very very slow. It is nearly impossible for the ship to turn, and it is only done under extreeme condtions and with duress to the ship. The ship is not defeneless however, it's weapon only able to target planets, the ship is armed with 12 disruptors. One mounted on the end of each of the six nacelle needed to actually move the vessel. Because of it's speed limitations, carefull preparations must be made, intailing weeks or months of planning before actual deployment. The gravitaitonal forces that make the ship remote controllable only also serve as a protection. There is a litteral wall of gravity around the ship as long as the drive shaft is rotating and in motion. This can divert physical attacks like ramming and torpeedos away from the ship, but only serves to amplify phasers. All is not lost, because it is backed by heavy ablative armor, a fifteen foot hull and light shielding around it's entire body. Warp Speed, an issue vital to the deployment of the ship near enemy homeworlds, was sadly out of the question for the hulking World Hammer. Unable to develop the technology needed to propell something with such gravity through warp space, Kyana took conventional warp nacelle and continued adding them on until she deemed she was "satisfied". Ontop of that, she was able to incorperate a hobbled together slipstream system that must be refueled and recharged after every use. In order to get near the ship (within a few thousand kilometers), it must be deactivated. The restart proceedure may take as long as 12 hours, and the warp nacelle can take as long as a full day before the antimatter sequence is carefully primed. This keeps the ship from running away from loosing battles, but with six singularities onboard, self destruct might be a better option... |
