I am really fascinated about vampires after watching My Date With A Vampire. I believe that vampires have very great powers like hypnotizing other people and having unbelievable great strength. In addition to that, they have speed as fast as lightening, the ability to transform into almost anything such as fog, water et cetera and live forever. Moreover, I feel they are the living dead and blood do exist in their bodies but in a very small amount. Thats why they have to bite and suck blood to make sure that this small amount of blood do not dry up. Or else, they will become hungrier and hungrier and reveal their true identity to human beings uncontrollably. They fear revealing their true identity because they may be chased by ghostbusters (who knew their identity) for the rest of their lives. In my opinion, they may drink any kind of blood but humans blood have the nicest taste among all the organisms blood. There is a Father among of all the vampires and he is the one who started the chain of vampire descendents by biting other people. He is the most powerful and can only be destroyed by starting life all over again (right from the ancient times), so that Fate may decide that no one is to be a Father Vampire (I believe strongly in Fate). The powers of the descendents of the Father Vampire weaken greatly as it goes down the generation. The 1st-8th descendents can control themselves and behave like normal humans (but live on blood). If a victim happens to be the 9th or later generation, he may lose all his senses and conscience and be controlled by the vampire who bit him. Victims who have been bitten can be destroyed by earlier generations. The younger generations of the vampires can be also be killed by ghostbusters if the latter is more highly skilled than them.
The above paragraph is just some of my beliefs about what vampires may be. I have visited some websites whereby the webmasters believe that vampires, similar to human beings, do not live forever. The only difference is that vampires have to live on blood whereas human beings can enjoy the delicious heavenly food. Some traditional folktales about vampires are that vampires live in coffins, which are tightly shut in the day and they come out at night to hunt for their preys or victims. They have very long fingernails and their faces may be as white as sheet. Their bodies look like as if they are decaying and two fangs always stick out of their mouths. They can be killed by driving a wooden sword through their hearts. Although there are many different beliefs about what vampires are, my views about them did not change Readers’ view about what vampires may be: (What do you think vampires may be? Reader 1: I think that vampires are like a superior version of humans as they are immortal, and will remain forever young and good-looking. However, I also pity them as since they can never die, it must be very painful to watch the people around you die one by one. I mean, you'll get sick of the world too after living for hundreds and hundreds of years, right? Besides, you also know that people live in fear of you, if you're a vampire, and that's very upsetting, especially the person is somebody you love. I don’t think that vampires have to stay in their coffin all day and only come out at night. I think that vampires can roam about in the day as well as at night, only that they are less powerful in the day. Like us, they can get tired, and when they do, they will suck blood to replenish their energy. Some only do this when necessary as they do not wish to hurt too many people, while others do this as and when they like for they had sold their souls to the devil for immortality. Vampires can be killed by driving a stake through the heart, but can be revived if they are not beheaded after being "staked". Most vampires do this to their victims as they do not want to have too many vampires around competing for blood. Personally, I think that vampires are most mysterious beings, whether or not they're fictitious.

Reader 2: I think vampires and humans have some but not all in common. I think that vampires also have descendants. Though unlike humans, vampires do not have descendants by giving birth to a baby in the same family. I think vampires are all one big family. The ones that are bitten by the Vampire King himself represent the first descendants. Those vampires are the strongest and are the ones with the most powers. After a few descendants, around the 10th descendants, vampires grow weaker - they are afraid of the cross and can get killed by a stake or the sun and are afraid of the Holy Drink which can turn vampires into acid. Well, that's my opinion about vampires. I guess we really all have different thoughts about vampires after all.

Reader 3: To me, vampires can be good or bad. They may be living among us like any normal people only that we do not know. They may look like any living human beings, but they may be holding a dark secret in their hearts, that is, they do not survive on human food but on human’s blood. They may be immortal and have been living in this world for a very long time, so they should have a lot of money and may be living in bungalows. They will not die unless God decides that they will die for a second time - vanish into thin air. They may or may not have powers depending on how old they are. The longer they have been a vampire, the more powers they have. They will be most probably doing any kind of jobs, ranging from road sweepers to presidents.

Reader 4: To me, vampires are creatures that do not belong to any of the 3 realms in this world. They are not humans, not ghosts, and not deities. They have to live on blood, which I think is very pitiful for them. And when they eat human food, they will have stomachache. They also have all the time in the world to realize their dreams, so they cannot have dreams, because after they realized their dreams, they have nothing more to live for. Vampires are not really scary creatures if they do not live on human blood, and live only on expired blood. In fact, they can help the human population by using their special powers, to help the police or army or government. If they are able to help humans, and not harm humans, I believe they will be able to live in harmony with the human population. I also believe vampires do not have a choice to as to whether they want to be human or vampire. Since this is their destiny, I believe we should not shun them or look down on them. After all, vampires also have the humane factor inside them. It is only when they are baddies, then I will look down on them.

Reader 5: A Vampire to me is a powerful immortal being. They live on the blood of humans. But there are good Vampires and bad Vampires. Vampires can transform into any form or shape they want. They are unstoppable. Not a lot of Vampires are scared of sunlight, crosses etc. Vampires are very rare creatures. Once they suck the blood of a human being they will be addicted to it and will do whatever to get it. Vampires are like human, they look like us, and have the same feeling as us. The 1st descendents of Vampires are very strong. They have the ability to control themselves, and to act like humans, and also look like humans. Their fangs are part of their powers. The way their eyes look is to show how powerful they really are. Vampires can never age, and also can never die. They have unbelievable strength, and power. The way they move is very powerful. They can move as fast as the speed of lights or maybe even faster. The 8th or later descendents of Vampires are pretty weak. They can be killed by a wooden sword through their heart or burnt in sunlight. Vampires can also be kill by the world *LOVE*. The word *LOVE* has a very strong meaning to Vampires. They can drive themselves crazy by losing their love ones or by killing their love ones. Once Vampires go insane, their bloods will contract and they will die. The person that created Vampires, he is also known as the Father Of Vampires, is the most powerful of all. Nothing can destroy him, he is invincible. The word *LOVE* can break the curse that turn that person into a Vampire. Vampires may exist and they may not. But once they do terror, they will be able to overcome this planet. So I do believe in Vampires and what they can do. I only wish if I was one…

Reader 6: I think vampires are just like humans, except for the fact that they will never die. It depends on what kind of person you are in order to tell if you can be a good vampire. If you're a person that doesn't like to be lonely, but isn't selfish either, then you're a really bad vampire. Because if you want to be a vampire, you're going to have to be ready to watch all your friends and family die in front of you and you will live forever and ever without them. You don't want to be lonely? Sure! Bite them. But then, you'll have to be pretty selfish to watch someone you love needing to suck blood for a living. Some people that are scared of dying, they could be a successful vampire. But when they decide they want to die, what do they do? They won't be able to turn back. In short, I think that vampires are a sad version of humans. Everything has an end to it, except for vampires. Many people turn to death in their trouble times, what do vampires turn to? They just have to seek a solution to their problems and later, face with even more problems.

Reader 7: Vampires are just creatures that are cursed with immortality and a thirst for blood. They will never stop until they have achieved all their goals in their lives. But once they have, they will be sad forever. I think vampires are just people who were bitten by selfish vampires who did not want to go through their lives alone. All this I have said is just in the story. I am a Christian, you see. So I do not believe all this, but this that I am saying is according to the story.

8: Based on the books I have read about vampires, basically,
they need not die. But, to exchange for the life in eternity, they have
to consume human blood. Another disadvantage will be the fact that they
will be very lonely. They would have to see every one of their beloved
dying in front of them, yet they can do nothing, because if they bite
their beloved, they will have to suffer thae angonising task of sucking
blood. Despite the fact that a lot of things can kill a vampire (as
stated in the show & books), I do believe that there is one thing
in the world that would (kill, strengthen, weaken) a vampire. That thing
is love. Love can make them feel (happy, sad, angry, selfish). Love
can make them kill or save a person. Another thing is selfishness. Selfishness
brings out the worst habits of (people/vampire). I think that vampires and human beings are almost the same (except for the sucking blood part). They all have feelings like a human being and can be quite human too. I think it is quite true that vampires will have stronger powers as they get older despite the fact that they looks the same (when they are bitten) In short, I believes that vampires exists but I believe that they have feelings like men and are very well humane (sort of) I also believe that LOVE & SELFISHNESS are the two main things that can destroy a vampire. |

Reader 9: Well my views on a vampire would be very much influenced by the series "My date with a vampire" itself. However I have yet to work out the theory behind the 'generation' thingie. What's more, nothing is invincible, nor completely useless. Even the Vampire Commander would have an Achilles' heel. In the show, he knows what can kill him, but decides to stay alive to protect his love. What I do not understand is, why the other vampires aren't able to kill themselves? People think vampires are lonely, and sad, because they cannot die. I beg to differ. I feel that if, and only if, the vampire has a negative outlook of life, he will live to regret. If the person is happy, wouldn't he want it to last forever? To me, happiness doesn't come from the people or things around you, but within. Vampires may feel that they would need to bite their love ones (eg Domoto Yasushi) to keep them alive forever, but what is forever? Chinese have a saying "Bu guan tian chan di jiu, zhi zhai hu chen jing yong you". To be able to experience it, is bliss, it doesn't have to last for eternity. The world can be beautiful, the world can be hell, it is up to an individual. Given a chance to be a vampire (if there is such a thing) chances are I will opt for it, but only after careful consideration. And vampires should make sure a person belonging to the "Ma" family would be around to subdue him, as and when he wishes.

Reader 10: As I watch and read more and more about them I feel like I've always missed out something in my life, it's like getting to meet a long lost relative. I used to think vampires are just movie critters, but now I truly believe that they exist. Vampires are among us, you might not notice since they're not very noticeable, plus there might be a possibility that you are a vampire too. It's like when you dream at night horrific images appears in your dream, how would you know if its really a dream or on an alternate reality you are a vampiric creature. I think vampires are noble and romantic as they slowly and painlessly drive their victims into an anesthetic state then they feast. Vampirism is truly an art. The art of darkness. Vampires have always been stereotyped and critized in art form such as movies and books, I personally think that the whole fang thing is just a joke. Vampire are so overwhelmingly powerful they need no fangs to drain a victim of life. |
